This is what I meant when I commented on Raz0r’s post about how people never seem to realize that often both sides are a fault for something, so one side “has” to be “innocent” while the other side is “the devil”. I’m not saying you can’t be pissed about the way this unfolded, especially given the suspect way this prosecutor acted, but there’s no point in trying to paint Michael Brown as “innocent” because he wasn’t given what little we definitely know.
Did he deserve to be shot for what little we know happened for sure? It’s certainly debatable.
Was he just minding his own business before he got shot? Hell no.
I’m going to assume that you meant “internal” instead of “international”, but otherwise valid enough points all, especially since definitely agree on that point. It’s part of the reason why I’ve never understood black “solidarity” despite being black myself since I have absolutely nothing in common with most other black people outside of being subject to more discrimination. Good to see that the National Bar association is already looking into it because, yeah, even to someone who has never studied law and isn’t caught up in race conspiracy, both the prosecutor’s and the governor’s actions are egregiously suspect. Given that’s completely independent of whether Officer Wilson was/is actually guilty or not, which realistically most people had already made up their minds about, one or both of them at least need to be investigated for this bullshit, especially in light of the ill-handled riots that happened two days ago.

I also think it’s funny that you’re busting MY chops about “critical thinking” when every one of my posts is about my disbelief of the officially presented narrative because there are inconsistencies that anyone who IS critically thinking (I.e. not you) could see. 1. What sense would it make for a kid who’s already been shot once to CHARGE a guy with a GUN? and 2. All the bullet wounds according to the autopsy are indicative that Brown was on his knees as he was trying to surrender. You may want to take your own advice and try some critical thinking yourself, dummy.

I guess the only thing I don’t understand is why the looting? Kind of turns Brown’s death into a farce more than anything.
As far as Wilson, I don’t get how the fight started at the car but then he was shot 100-150 ft away. I do feel something is amiss with what went down, but unfortunately there just isn’t enough staggering evidence to prove it as such.
Basically you needed to have your shit on point, so no changing your statements and no freaking looting. I mean if you know someone with the power to kick your ass wants to kick your ass, don’t give them a reason to go kick your ass. It sucks a kid died over something so stupid, but the way folks are acting now feel like they are devaluing the whole situation.
(Yeah, some of the “witness” statements definitely undermined things. Like I said, most “eyewitnesses”, even if they are actually there, often aren’t worth a damn.)
At the same time, their fuck-ups and lies still don’t do change the fact that the Grand Jury is/was only supposed to determine probable cause, not innocent or guilt.
Would these people have fucked up an actual trial if they didn’t outright perjure themselves? Most definitely, which is part of the reason why I expected Officer Wilson to be found not guilty even if it had gone to trial and even if I actually thought he was guilty.
Again, while some people are divorced from reality, don’t join them by acting like the way the Grand Jury was handled at best doesn’t foment already existing suspicion and tension even if judging all the many questionable things done solely by Occam’s Razor.
It’s because they don’t actually really care about changing anything or even really care about other people. They just care about themselves and are using it as a pretext, just like they make use of the largeness of a mob for the sake of anonymity to escape punishment or at least greatly increase the chances of such.
It’s unfortunately not that difficult to understand given how common it is.
Getting shot six times for stealing cigar is not a punishment that fits the crime. Its more about the fact that he attacked an officer or whatever the fuck happened. That is something you just don’t do.

This is not how the system typcially works. It is not the function of grand jury section to determine reasonable doubt. They are usually instructed to find probable cause. As far as the evidence requirement these are like polar opposites. If they did treat this grand jury decision as you say, then they would be treating this Wilson case differently than other cases.
Yeah I forgot that there was a protest and everyone stopped giving a shit within a week, despite being the biggest scandal in the UK in a long time. The Brits could use some of that Ferguson enthusiasm for sure.
