Protest followed by massive looting in STL

I like how white people think that rioters targeting private property is them being asshokes.

Because if they actually burned government property and officers the military would be called in to shot on sight.

(Trump is an attention-whore who has never had a mind to lose. Stop giving him attention.)

There were some people burning some trash and blocking freeways near me, but that’s fortunately all that happened here. I think shops got vandalized downtown again though. “Funny” how it’s always the stuff near City Hall that gets fucked up the most when one of the protests get out of hand, but City Hall itself never does.

Sigh. Damn it, Quan. So glad we voted your ass out even if this isn’t entirely your fault given humanity in general is just horrible.

The 24/7 news networks rather suck in general, but you have lost your damn mind if you honestly think that CNN (or anything other news network, really) is worse than Fox “Fair and Balanced” News. CNN definitely has issues, but I don’t see why there’s all this hate directed towards them suddenly unless I missed something.

That said, I didn’t feel bad for Chris Cuomo getting tear-gassed since he’s usually a dumbass anyway.

Hmmm…I don’t recall hearing about either of these, but that in itself isn’t surprising. Links?

Yeah, I agree with this. I personally have been trying to be as objective as possible with regards to “deciding” about whether he killed the guy illegally or not, but I also meant what I said that the prosecution’s actions look extremely suspicious when he could have just said “no, we aren’t going to charge him” months ago. Sure, a riot would doubtless happened, but I highly doubt it would have been worse than what happened last night.

Oh well. At least there’s the federal investigation (to probably go nowhere), even if again, there are doubtless better cases that don’t/haven’t made the news.

“That bully beat me up. So instead of teaching him a lesson, I’m gonna go and beat up a random kid.”

@Odin, let’s be real here. If they attacked police officers, 99% of the people wouldnt bat an eye and say the slaughter was justified because they attacked cops.

This is the consequence of living in a. Society that over values the worth of police.

CNN is just as much shit as Fox, just with a different hue.

Agreed about other cases that deserve more attention and protesting.

(Oh, I’ll agree that CNN is full of shit a lot of the time; I just said that.)

As much as Fox though? We’ll have to agree to disagree there. At the very least I’d say CNN is less racist than Fox is, which is definitely something even if a low bar to pass.

Regardless, I just don’t see why CNN is suddenly getting crapped on here compared to what they usually do. Unless people are blaming them for making the rioting worse, which is possible but makes no sense since a lot of the rioters were blaming them for…something, then…yeah, I’m lost with regards to that.

I saw a mob destroying a police car on stream yesterday, but I guess police cars don’t count as government property…

And yeah if I’m angry at the government and I go burn down your house because of it, I’m an asshole.

Giving Trump attention is like giving Kim Jong-un attention for saying the US has human rights issues. Both are attention grabbing trolls with no points to make.

Yo. Everybody shut up, and go back and read Akuma Hax’s posts. That unintelligible dude is on point, and most of you would do well to soak in some of that knowledge.

I agree with you.
This whole thing is just a bowl of shit cereal.

The killing, the verdict, the riots, everything.

I cannot stand innocent people getting killed over shit, like I felt terrible for Reg Denny during the King riots. Guy didn’t do anything, but riots turn savages into people. No regard for anyone’s property or life. It’s sad times.

@tatataki, you think the institutionilized racism and oppression is going to be fixed through civility? The government needs to be told, or shown through first that it ain’t right.

When your bully can kill you and walk away citing self-defense, that anger will manifest else wgere

If you act like a savage, you’ll get treated like a savage. Mob justice is not justice. Feelings don’t replace evidence.

How the fuck do you spread the message that it ain’t right to enact violence against innocents, by enacting violence against innocents yourself?

There needs to be some independent investigation into this Grand Jury process. That’s all I’m going to say about this situation.

The savagery done by the People against others, is the result of the savagery done to them by institution protected by and supported by the majority who do not care

Why do you think there’s revolution of the worst kind in poor countries.

Glad I don’t live in the USA.

You guys are basically a richer Syria.

Stay safe.

I actually agree with a lot of what he says in the video, but this situation and the one he shows the video of aren’t even close to being the same. This happened in broad daylight, and from what the reports say, Brown was about 150 feet from Wilson. So Wilson had the advantages of distance and visibility, which officer Coates didn’t have.

This isn’t to say that I can’t see it from the cop’s point of view. You have a big dude you’re dealing with, you want to make it home for dinner, so I understand the shoot-first-go-eat-dinner thing. But this case isn’t that. Granted, Wilson is the only one alive who really knows what happened, but there are too many inconsistencies that make me think he was just pissed off that this kid was being disrespectful and that things went too far. Maybe Brown reached into the car, maybe he didn’t. I kept hearing that Brown decked him and broke his eye socket, none of which is in evidence in any of the pictures of Wilson in the hospital room. So I don’t know what to believe.

But if what they say about Brown turning around, getting on his knees, and putting his hands up is true, then Wilson’s reaction was excessive and poorly thought out. I can understand why, if Wilson felt he was truly in danger of being killed, he would have done what he did, but I don’t agree with it, if the facts are what I know them to be.

IIRC, there’s still an independent federal investigation going on.

WOW.

This “kid” looks like an adult thug. Straight up walks into the store and robs the old man and when the old man tries to follow him, this thug almost knocked him out. After seeing this, this thug is pure trash. It’s a good thing that cop killed this piece of trash.

His parents should be ashamed of raising such cancer.

Just got around to looking at the link. Have there been any other articles that have analyzed the evidence that is more accurate or quote more witness testimony? It’s still hard to say what really happened given all the conflicting information on witness testimony. Given the quotes in the article, it doesn’t sound like Brown ever fell to the ground with his hands up saying “don’t shoot”, or that he was killed execution style. The physical evidence definitely shows there was a struggle in the car, and that Brown was shot in the front. What actually happened outside of that is unclear.

Just look at the video of him in the store. Dude almost knocked out a defenseless old man after robbing him.

With that kind of behavior he probably tried to knock out the cop and the cop had to defend himself.

The cop not only defended himself but did the world a favor by removing this parasite.
