I do agree with you to an extent, in order for any real change to happen, people would have to be uncivil, but this simply won’t happen until the majority becomes destitute and hungry. So as long as the majority can still afford cable, Ipads, and Doritos flavored Mountain Dew, they’d rather employ “Twitter activism” or waste their lifespan protesting a recurring event, pretending as if the morally bankrupt elite can see their witty signs and placards. My solution, especially as an educated, stable black man who’s dealt with his fair share of problems from institutional racism, is to do myself justice and change the state of play. I respect those who want to topple mountains, but I’d rather just creep through the valley and avoid the immovable issues facing the states. Currently, I’ve moved from “Stand Your Ground” Florida and been traveling through Europe, where police are too busy showing me photos of their kids, and debating with me who’s better- Pharcyde or A Tribe Called Quest, or my favorite Pac song, to harass me over presupposed criminality. Where I can walk into a store and not get tailed, or get randomly invited into a rural home by kindly old people and feel genuinely welcomed, even though they’ve never seen a black person before. It feels really weird now looking at the state of America from the outside looking in. I’m done with the grind, and feel more free now than I’ve ever been.

The “race story” was dead and once again the media only covers one side of the issue. Either way, the fucked up story isn’t this one, its the dude shot at the Wal-Mart and the guy shot for no fucking reason (guy survived and the police officer was fired).
