Another unarmed black man, shot and killed by the LAPD while lying on his back :bluu:

In other words, I’m right and you have no way of disproving it.

That is just an misguided statement. It discredits those who are out in the street protesting against the cops and the government. What I don’t get and still no one has yet to answer it is while most of you are focusing on the looters, which as I said, are a consequence of any riot and protest in many major events throughout history be it white like OWS in Europe or black like the Rodney King riots in LA. In any event that large in scope you are always going to get people like that, but that should not be the focus. People want to focus on the looting but as I keep saying why is the government and police force so silent?

They are providing no answers. They came out and said they would reveal the shooter who shot Brown yesterday but they never did. You can’t get any answers out of the government or police force. All you consistently get is news reports about the police force on the streets patrolling. What I understand from most of the arguments I am seeing is there is a problem with the looters but absolutely no issue with the fact that the government and police force itself have yet to come out days later and provide answers on anything as if the government and police force has no obligation to provide answers so that you can get the city back to a stable point.

Ignore these people breaking the law and pay attention to this kid’s death where there’s no proof of how events unfolded.

Did I get that right?

Some of you might like this story. Sorry for no summation, I’m on my phone. I want to know who these other witnesses are.

Do you just want attention, Razor? Have you noticed that most people here are not paying attention to you, you ass? Why would anybody read your ignorant and shitty racist posts?

This is some backwards ass logic. You’re more or less justifying the actions of stupid people just because “Oh, the government/police are worse.”

Solid piece. Its true. The police force, and i think many politicians local and federal see black men as some type of super race. Thats the only explanation i have for how fearful this country is of black men, otherwise there is no logic, no rationale behind this all. 5 white guys walk into walmart with rifles on their shoulder, its, “Ugh, silly gun nuts, there are children here”. 5 black men walk into walmart with rifles on their shoulder, its, “Oh shit, we’re about to get robbed”. Considering that mass shootings are pretty much all done by white males, people should immediately fear white men with guns anywhere, but they dont, they never will, even if every piece of evidence points towards the fact that you should.

Its funny, because on one end its racist (the profiling example above), its mostly racist, but on another end, its pretty emasculating for white males. LOL. The whole country thinks white males to be pussy it seems. “Eh, just let em do what they want, they cant hurt anyone with their little pew pew guns and big trucks”. haha. The obsession with hip hop and black culture, along with the fetishizing of black men like never seen before, even just 2 decades ago might be reflective of this inner voice, feeling that people have, that they almost let white males do what they want, because they think lesser of you, like little boys out to play on the playground. Thats just speculation, but if you question the why of some of this outside the realm of racism, we might come up with some interesting results, for i dont think it might be as simple as white is right, and black is wack. Eh, i mean, its interesting that you fear people whose ancestors you have enslaved, impoverished, murdered, beaten, raped, humiliated, and dehumanized for centuries. Then post slavery, you continued your mission to never let up on black americans, to continue the hate, violence, and humiliation in hopes i guess they broke. You did all that to arrive here? Fearing us in the streets as if we’re demi gods on the loose, seconds away from being able to destroy the world. Its such odd behavior, fear towards black men. We’ve done nothing but get beaten by white society since we got here, and still forgave and sometimes forgot. If we were gonna go ham, we wouldve by now, so clearly we dont want to, so lets figure this shit out.

Everyones already been indoctrinated, and only few stand strong above the millions of chuckle heads in this country, who im surprised can even tie their shoes. So the message is clear, and always has been. Change takes time, and we’ve seen massive change in this country, but patience wears thin these days. The thing is, how do we get people to change who dont want to. Most of the backwards people in this country will only educate themselves on what they want to, hear what they wanna hear, watch what they wanna watch, so if they choose to be ignorantly bliss, how can i teach a racist asshole cop (or any prejudice or racist asshole) out there somewhere in the usa that how he feels, what he does to people is wrong, stupid, illogical, and quite frankly, weak. Its 2014, if you cannot get it now, with all the history in this country, and using basic fucking common sense, then nothing will get through to you i guess other then violence.

Black americans cannot even fight back the way our white counterparts do. Standoffs in nevada with ranchers because he doesnt wanna pay taxes, and milk the government, while also criticizing black americans for being lazy and on welfare, yeah we cant do that. LOL. If that were armed black americans not letting police into their neighborhood, they would drop a bomb on us like they did in new jersey in the 80s i believe. The best we can do as i mentioned in long form in the bad police thread, is educating ourselves to play the game. A violent civil war between the government and black americans would just end up in excessive blood shed on our end, and nothing learned by the morons of the United States of America, so we need to play the game until we can get our shit right, and take the power back so to speak. Our government will not let up on their war AGAINST, not ON poverty, and it wont let up on its racist war on drugs and prison industrial complex. So unless we get up in arms and go ham in hopes a message is made clear, and we mark a day in history, we need to always continue to fight for justice and equality, but its time to start building up the black power structure in this country the same way every other race has been allowed to unapologetically build up their power structures. We’ve tried it before, and to success, only to inevitably be taken down (black panthers, black wall street, disco (lol) ), but try try again. Different times, different tools for social discourse, and a whole lot of white people backing up the black struggle that were not there decades ago.

Also i do not believe in black empowerment as a way to promote racism, like which has been done by other groups in this country who have built on their power structures, including the god damn US federal government.** Like Nancy pelosi said on the colbert report last month, “when women succeed, america succeeds”. I’ll one her up and say, " when black americans succeed, america succeeds", except none of our politicians will ever go with such a punch line, especially not a white politician**. We have more issues with black americans then problems with women in this country by a HUGE margin, yet there are no cutesy campaigns for us, or glossy eyed white democrats standing up for us on tv or in the house. Instead we get politicians spouting out unsubstantiated evidence of women getting paid 10 cents less on the dollar then their male counterparts, or whatever the number was, that has been debunked a million times, spreading mostly drivel around while real issues get ignored in this country. White women are doing just fine in america, and yes the modern feminist movement has an obvious racial slant to it, which is no shocker, because it started with one. There are womens issues, but lets not act like black womens issues arent far different then white womens issues, and to simplify it all down to one bucket of shit is somewhat offensive.

If they target the cops, or even target their property. that’s an ass whoopin and a shoting spree that the entire nation would justify as “self defense!”

the behavior of the crowd is no different than that of a 10 year old who gets bullied by his 18 year old brother, who then takes it out on his 5 year old younger brother. Them targeting these “innocent” folk is the consequence of putting police on some special pedestal so they can do their “job”

Ferguson just put out a press release on the situation. It’s typical PR junket, in case anyone was wondering.

People tend to deflect this argument with “mistakes happen all the time”. As if it is a fair, normal occurrence that happens fairly to everybody. As it stands, mistakes are only happening to poor-lower middle class black people. That is the biggest injustice, especially when taken into consideration that blacks are only 14% of the population. Statistically, there should be more white people in prison than blacks and more white people being accidentally killed than blacks.

As it turns out, blacks and whites are pretty much 1:1 as far as imprisonment rates go. And by far, blacks are killed more often by police than whites. Even if the assumption was true that blacks commit more crimes than whites, the numbers still don’t add up.

tl;dr My point? The biggest injustice, is the unfair application of the justice system. I’m sure there would be far less complaints if it didn’t seem that blacks were being targeted by the police and prison system. Don’t ever be sold on this post-racial society stuff that I hear all the time. It’s simply untrue at this point in time. It’ll happen one day, but that is in the future, not the present America.

I like how the tl;dr version is almost as long as the regular version.

I agree, wholeheartedly. Whether people choose to believe it or not, there IS an underlying tone of racism in our everyday lives that has been hushed or put under a rug. I’m not a racist for the simple fact that it’s true. Where i’m from it’s not uncommon for police to call backup when pulling over a single black person, yet not need it for a car full of white people. It’s the same reason women would rather walk in the street than pass me on a sidewalk. Same thing as a parent’s heart would drop when they hear their daughter’s boyfriend is of African American descent. These things are all nested bits of racism that have been reinforced through media and the overall acceptance of them as truths in America. They scream that we are lesser beings, not right to blend in with civilized society, and should be ashamed of our heritage. Funny thing is, we aren’t given much to work with and are treated differently from birth. Don’t get me wrong though, i’m not going to dump truck our whole issues on the “white man”. That would be no better than what has been done to us over the years. But realistically, we NEED white people for our cause. How else would MLK Jr. have had such a huge impact that would have been the most long lasting peace (i mean that loosely in relation to black history as a whole) that the African American community has seen in centuries. I’m glad there are white people today that understand that racial discrimination is very much a real thing and VERY WRONG. Hopefully this cop gets his ass handed to him in court and will serve as a lesson. Meanwhile, we need to stand strong and help improve our overall image. I feel like we need to rise once more so we can end the oppression and violence.

you know how after smartphones got good enough to shoot video and services like youtube sprouted up, we got more and more video of cops beating and terrorizing innocent civilians? makes you think what those fuckers got away with before technology made it much harder

yeah i’m gonna side with the citizens on this one. fuck the police. they are supposed to SERVE and PROTECT us, not beat and kill us for not being born white

He’ll be there. It’s like the Candyman, except you don’t even have to say his name or be in front of a mirror. Just say black person and cops together in a sentence on TV, and he’ll arrive.

So your logic states that I am letting the actions off of people who are violating the law, correct? I swear people don’t read throroughly. I will repeat one last time. In any major riot or civil discourse between the government and citizens there will always be looters. Key word there is major. It’s a casualty of creating such massive chaos. Doesn’t mean I condone it. It’s not exclusive to any race. It’s a casualty of the government failing to do its job usually and provide answers for the citizens of that community. It has been done in countless other riots and protests.

Your logic states to me that we shouldn’t focus as much on the fact that a unarmed kid is dead or that the government and police force as yet to provide any answers to the community, but that someone stole a couple pair of Jordan’s. Had the government and police force been forward about everything and provided some answers to the situation the chances of the riots and protests happening would be slim to none. Instead businesses have burned, its citizens are angry and want answers, and yet the government and police force of Ferguson have yet to provide any at all.

All most media can get is witness testimony. The primary job of the government is to provide and protect its citizens to create the most stable environment given its condition. It’s strange to me that you focus on the looters and yet fail to mention that the people that can contain and possibly stop such actions (government and police force) are less at fault. At the same time though the government and police force is capable enough to get forces down on the ground to police the protesters while still providing no answers as to what happened.
