Protest followed by massive looting in STL

God I hate white people and New England white people are the whitest of the white. >_<

Whoops. Missed that.

This just happened this last weekend, black protester’s clash with Ram fans. I guess its for attention of Michael brown, but it went badly, IMO.

So, I have a question about the report that was just released:

Why have we been told already that there were no powder burns on Michael Brown’s body, but now we’re being told that he was shot IN the car? Being shot in the car is close enough range that powder burns are almost a given. What is even happening in this fucking case?

What you think they just put the samples into a scantron reader and the word of the day pops out like Conky
?

2 months. I don’t expect it to be done in time for the evening news, but 2 months? Really? If I was getting my ass reamed in the press every day over this, I’d have the forensic team work it A.S.A.P. Of course, if the evidence didn’t go the way I wanted it to go, it may take a little longer…

Justice Dept. ‘exasperated’ by local probe of Missouri teen shooting - http://news.yahoo.com/justice-dept-exasperated-local-probe-missouri-teen-shooting-151027957.html

Leaking selective information by this police department? Not surprised. :coffee:

IIRC, wasn’t the FBI or Justice Department supposed to be doing its own investigation? What happened to that?

This is why I have reserved comment on this issue, it just smelled of Duke Lacrosse case all over again with the whole story not being released and no one really knowing what is going on. I really wish people would learn to wait to react instead of just believing shit because that is what they are told. It is still too early to even think about taking a side because the details are still not released, that is if there is even a side to be taken.

Are black people still gonna riot when they find the dude who shot Mike not guilty?

Autopsy report states it was impossible for him to have been shot with his hands in the air. And he likely charged the police officer after he ran away, after the initial debacle inside the cruiser

If half of that is true, then this kid was NOT the brightest bulb.

Wtf, fighting a cop for his gun, running away and then turning around and juggernaut rushing the same cop…

makes perfect sense.

There is a lot to lose if this doesn’t turn out like the press reported. The whole racial angle is lost as well as the police brutality angle and the real prejudice that does happen to minorities in certain neighborhoods will be diminished in the process. This is why no matter what happens, the media will fight to make sure this stays on the side of Michael Brown and if proven wrong, they will just go into silent mode. At this point there is too much on the line for the verdict not to go their way.

Brown’s Autopsy Report Was Taken Out of Context says Forensics Expert

who here actually believes that after getting shot, an unarmed person, ANY UNARMED PERSON REGARDLESS OF RACE charges after the person shooting them?

seriously.

who here trusts these leaks and thinks that the info is legit and genuine? why or why not??

where would the leaks come from? the judge? DOJ? a member of the grand jury?

think for a second.

and to answer soviet’s question, you’re damn right ppl will riot when they don’t charge this guy. its not going to trial. this is a charade designed to hold ppl over while the powers that be prepares for the reaction of ppl when they tell us that they aren’t bringing this to trial. he will not be charged.

watch.

which is why i say ppl planning to respond need to plan RIGHT NOW. plan the response now and it should be bigger than flipping cars over. think tanks need to be formed now. its disgusting how they feel like they can pull the wool over ppl’s eyes with these selective leaks of info and by trying to use them to fit a narrative not supported by damn near anyone in the vicinity of the actual shooting on the day of.

and how they hid this guy and are paying him. and how they lied for him. smh in disgust.

honestly, the press hasn’t really reported like they should on this situation. the real news comes from twitter from ppl on the ground. the press reports what they want/can but aren’t really there like that. period.

the whole racial angle could never be lost when you have a police department that historically treats black ppl like shit. and the cover up is disgusting. its being underreported IMHO. the police brutality aspect is still there. see: ferguson protests.

anybody remotely interested in more of the truth and not reading/watching bullshit favorite that page and keep up with it. the media is full of shit IMO and not reporting the truth but only reporting what will give them ratings and what they aren’t scared to report on.

they are already in silent mode IMHO. lastly, jae, there is no verdict. this guy has not been charged with anything. can’t have a verdict with no charge. can’t have a trial if he’s not charged.

he will not be charged. watch. i’ll be happy to be wrong. please let me be wrong.

The fact is if this wasn’t such a heavily politicized case the police officer would have already been cleared and back at work. Since it is, his entire life is turned upside down, all for just doing his job and protecting himself. All the evidence released thus far backs up the officers account of the events that transpired, in which case, he was entirely justified in shooting Michael Brown. People keep talking about the witnesses statements, when those have, at this point, been shown to be highly suspect and contradictory, and those statements have certainly not been backed up by any of the actual physical evidence. And why is it so surprising that a violent teenager would behave in a violent, impulsive fashion? Half of the people in this thread are talking like he was someone with the background and age to respond in a mature and reasonable fashion, when everything we know about him indicates otherwise, from his past actions to his age.

The real victim here is the officer who is being vilified and outright forced into hiding due to a narrative being pushed by the media and certain political elements, to crucify him in the name of their crusade. I’m really getting tired of hearing how it’s fine to destroy this mans life because there are true racial issues in Ferguson, and with its PD. If there are, then focus on those, and use this incident as a stepping stone to begin addressing those, but don’t act like you have to railroad an innocent man who was just doing his job for there to be “justice”.

Justified in killing an unarmed kid? Ok…

Read this extremely powerful article by a lawyer who was arrested in Ferguson: http://www.vox.com/2014/10/24/7033567/ferguson-protest-arrested-michael-brown

The fact you would even make this statement is evidence enough of your bias. A 292 pound 18 year old man is in no way a “kid” when it comes to physical confrontation. The officer was injured in a physical confrontation during some point of this encounter, that much is clear and already on the record, so you can’t say that Michael Brown was calmly going about his business and did nothing. Everyone keeps talking about Officer Wilson as if he’s a demon who slaughtered a cherubic faced angel with a maniacal glee, in cold blood, with no remorse, with pretty much nothing to back that up except the narrative they want this to have. All the evidence at this points towards the officers account being the accurate one, and the only reason this hasn’t been cleared yet is because it’s turned into a political issue. If it wasn’t for the fact people were afraid of the riots that will probably ensue, he would’ve already been cleared.

All the other issues are their own issues. If Ferguson has real issues with racial discrimination, fine. Deal with it. If the community feels the police have too much power and should have more oversight, fine. Deal with it. If you feel that the laws should be changed so police can’t resort to lethal force (even when being assaulted), fine. If anything this could be viewed as an opportunity to address those issues. But don’t throw an innocent man who was only defending himself and in full right to do so under the laws as they stand today, under the bus for political reasons. This country is supposed to be about judging individuals, not groups, and all the groups that want to destroy Officer Wilsons life just so they can further their own agenda can burn, because that is flat out wrong.

PS

And people who want to fuck him over so they can avoid the violent backlash of the community that wants to lynch him can burn, too.

He was on drugs and in “fight or flight” considering he robbed a store a few moments earlier. Weren’t these the earliest findings?

What worries me is that many people already decided what happened by themselves, without waiting for the investigation.

Standing up against racism sounds good on paper but not when it involves barking at a wrong tree.

And another thing is to not judge evidence based on “feelings” without proper knowledge of police enforcement protocols. And protocols were developed for a reason.
