You could bait their tardy counters, by cancelling your attack to beat theirs.
John was one of the US âcustom charactersâ Since we didnt get the whole Board-game mini game and custom character thing, they gave us premade characters using the âcreate a characterâ system in Japanâs PJ.
John was probably the best and most interesing one. He started with a full super bar, all of his is special moves were other characters supers. (that still took meter)
and his supers were just stronger supers, but the downside to playing him was that he started at 80% health and took double damage.
A girl who played EXACTLY like Sakura from RS was also in the US characters too.
I never knew how easy Kyosukeâs âfloat glitchâ was.
Throws and baiting the tardys basically. Itâs also why it turns to jab fests and turtle fests when it get serious (even some charactersâ s.:lk:'s can get countered).
whaaat ??? =___=
Thanks for the knowledge. Differences seem pretty minor, but I guess those things can add up.
Speaking of team ups, is it worth spending the meter to attempt to break them? It seems like the guy who initiated the assist can just hold up-back and the guy trying to break canât do shit about it.
throw ? air throw ?
Iâve always wondered that myself. I guess you could try if you got hit by one.
John was a crazy motherfucker.

wow , he is like roy + kyosuke + batsu + hideo , not bad .
do you happen to know his normals , i heard he is equiped with a bokken/shinai like hyo or hayato ? if we know , perhaps he may have link combos or link combos to team up .
can you give me the simple description of those Bâvigours , please ? i think denjin hadouken is the same projectile supers like batsuâs ? i donât remember the rest of the 3.
edit : dynamite justice is the name of royâs qcf,qcf + kick super O_O . you mean dynamite straight ?
LOL no.
Letâs not let our love for the series cloud our judgement, here.
In anycase, love this game for casual, semi-serious play but high-level play would probably make me start disliking the game. Then again, I doubt the mindset of Capcom when making this game was to make it a âseriousâ, competitive title to begin with.
Yeah, youâre probably right. Its probably a really simple glitched up bad game just as I thought. But fun!
I can agree with this. I donât know if Iâd enjoy this game as much in high level play. My playstyle would have to almost be complete opposite of what appeals to me about the game in the first place and it would get boring and repetitive. Though I donât know if there ARE many people that do play it at an advanced level, at least around here, so it should still be pretty fun.
Sidenote: Total Control Plus converter came today. Game is infinitely better on PS2 pad or stick. Sucks that I found out that I actually donât have time to re-learn the game or play it much at all at the moment, but at least I have it again. :bgrin:
I love Project Justice. But I donât know anyone else who I could play with that does too.
nope Itâs Dynamite Justice. Royâs super.
like I said, all of his specials are supers, and they all do their Normal damage.
he fights with his bare hands.
Johnâs BVs:
Denjin Hadoken:
Ryuâs unblockable, chargeable hadoken. Even if it is fully charged it doesnt stun and it only does about 30 damage. (his basic Textbook combo does 45)
I have no Idea why the move list says âair onlyâ. you can only do it on the ground.
Concrete Smash:
Ganâs Throw Super.
Haru Ichiban:
Sakuraâs low-hitting super. Doesnt do good damage at all. about 30.
Burning Stoic:
Hayatoâs Super. Gives Super armor for abuot 6 seconds. doesnt work too well for John considering The extremely low amount of life he has.
Funny how his supers are worse than his specials.
His Team attack is Raizoâs old team attack from RS.
any videos ?
and i was theorizing about royâs unblockable mixup right after his dynamite justice combos . you run up to the opponent who is still in the air , jump lk on him and he block . what happen is that you will land on his back and the opponent is still landing .
is it possible to attack the opponentâs back right after he landed ?
I love this game, but donât really have anyone around to play with. I believe my team Hideo, Daigo, and Roberto.
Itâs a shame Capcom has to tease us by putting Batsu in TvC and throwing other Rival Schools around as cameos from time to time without ever giving us another full entry in the series.
I play it when itâs at my local Gamestopâs tournaments.
Iâm thinking about buying a Dreamcast and getting it though.
I have a lot of fun with it.
My favorite characters are
Kyosuke, Roberto, and Edge.
You should, DCs are cheap.
Yeah, Its possible, though its seem like youd be facing the wrong way making you do a back attack.
Iâm not sure what Roy could do in that situation though.
I finally got my DC power cord and played a bit earlier, and I got around to testing what you could do after smashing them into an item( like after Dynamite Justice). If you run and do a jump.lk at the right time, you could go under them and cross them up. you can hit them with a st.lp before they land, but I dont think you can do anything more than that.
I forgot how much I hated Natsu.
OH YEAH !!! bless thy DC !!! iâll teach how to make nagare 40 hit combos on any character !!!&%^$^%#$^%$&^%% finally !!
damn it !!! I MISS NAGAREâS GAY COMBO !!!
anyway yeah you are right , you can hit them with st.lp and then cr.hp and then follow up with st.lp and cr.hp , dash and OTG with Bâ.hk cancel to super twister upper .
but , 1 of my friend or me discovered away to escape , the opponent just do air lk or air lp before roy does stâ lp . because when they did that , they land faster.
so my theory is that , after he block royâs jump lk and roy cross it up . is it better to just wait and meaty him when he touches the ground ? when he landed the opponentâs back is facing roy .
similar concept with kurowâs unblockable set up . iâve forgotten how it looks like , i hope i can find the japanese match video .
