In my opinion, you should of rushed down that Abel more since he wasn’t playing well when you were pressuring him.
Also, to much c.MKs when you are trying to attack your opponent on their wake-up. It seemed predictable since you did a c.MK almost every time on their wake up. If he was smart enough, he could of used EX meter to Command Throw you. Mix it up with some nj.HKs or try to get back enough for a f+MK for a overhead hit.

About my anti-air as well, i thought I had it down haha guess not, I get afraid to use it sometimes cause it can fail, I guess that’s why I should work on it like you said then.
Also concerning the reset attempt at 2:35 is it still possible to cross over with it and be in the frame advantage?

you played well imho, but those FA for offense are unnecessary you got 2 times punished for it.
it is ok as a counter for some of his punshes, else i would avoid it.
bait his ex punshes and block properly.
with out ex moves he is much easier to zone.
i think you can beat some of his dash punshes if you whiff cr.mk xx hp shou and he rans into it.

I didn’t bother with your video the first time because the video quality is REALLY crappy :< The guy who recorded only got like 3/4 of the screen most of the time and was holding the cam like he had parkinson. Plus the fact that the sound is way too much ahead and the slow-mo… Please try to have your matches recorded by someone who didn’t just take pills beforehand next time
Anyways, from what I’ve seen on my first watch(there’s only one match though so we can’t say much about your habits) :
1/ the only zoning poke i’ve seen you use is st.hk . You might want to add st.lk, and cr.mk. The first one to stop his dash runs and the second because it’s an awesome poke.
Feel free to option select a shouoken into st.lk.
2/ ex.hado is awesome because it’s fast and hits twice. Don’t use it full screen where it’s easily avoidable(you ate a j.hp because you wanted to dash then punish him).
3/Be careful with those nj.hk/mk on wake-up or when you’re resetting especially when they’re not safe-jumps. You’re probably better off using otoshi then mzr30’s safe-jump or you could simply go for cross-down cr.lk which would nullify Boxer’s horizontal charge(only the ex version of headbutt is a good reversal).
Overall, filipino champ was putting you under too much pressure and that is the trademark of good boxers. Do you ever remember walking forward once in the game ?
One thing I noticed right away was that you keep putting yourself in the corner.
I guess there were a few instances where you got punished for things you shouldn’t have.
A few times you didn’t hit confirm and you burned meter for it.
I saw you tried to start her c.fp > ex qcb k a few times when it just seemed like too big of a risk/ too far away to land. I guess jabs to start this combo would be better. Less of a chance of getting punished?
at around 2:13 or so instead of holding the focus like that you should have threw him or something. He held block for like 10 minutes haha. There were actually a few different times where you focused and tried to go for the focus instead of dashing and throwing. You could probably accomplish this because it seemed like this guy was blocking a lot when he should have punished, holding his charge, and maybe a little bit weary of Sakura’s big damage stuff.
That’s pretty much what I saw but I am a beginner so there could be more and I could be wrong.

I noticed those too and wasn’t sure if it was an attempted combo or the crouching fierce option select. Either way I agree; the recovery on cr.hp is big enough that you don’t want to do this. Especially if it was the OS against Boxer. A lot of good boxers have a tendency of stepping back and watching to see how you’re teching, and if cr.hp’s are coming out you’ll probably eventually eat a st.rh combo or something.
