Onikagai I’m surprised you uploaded 2 losses. I remember when we did Team Sakura you was the best Sakura there that night (best Ibuki too). Thought you’d show us some of the ass whoppings that got you to your current BP. I guess you are after criticism then. That Ryu was a good zoner.
I think I’ll get better if I show losses. I don’t really save wins, unless something over the top happend. 80% of my saves are losses.
Wtb advice though lol…
dont do random ex otoshi, just do it to punish a fireball
if you ex tatsu in the corner, you can hit them late to really confuse them for reset (they’ll probably mash out)
i’d like some criticism as well ;D

In my opinion, you played well, but also, in my opinion, if the opponent is not coming to you, don’t come to them because you lost your rounds by being a bit impatient and try to rush them down. Either try to zone them out with fireballs (not really a good option against someone like Abel though) or try to play their game and play defensively. Also, against someone like Abel, back-dashing is your best friend against his command throws.
lk tatsu on wakeup works well against abel
ur one frame advantage after block cause he has no 3 frame normal

definitly need to learn
cr.lk > cr.lp > cr. hp xx shunpu
cr.lk > cr.lp > cr. mp xx shunpu
you had him so many times after a crossup, capitalize on that.
c.LK > c.LP > c.MP xx Shunpp? Err… why? If they’re crouching then you’ve stuffed that.
If they’re not “big enough” for c.LK > c.LP > c.HP xx Shunpuu after j.MK cross-up then just do c.LK > s.LP/c.LP > c.MK xx Shou, nothing wrong with hit confirming into a Shou.
Were you guys talking about my vids or… <.<;; what?
it was for nobody68
to you:
first vid
you had a good go in the first round, but messed up in the end because you wanted to finish him.
You also had 3 Bars which should have actually won the round.
Way1)
He is cornered, and is going to want to get free.
With Sakura you have the best position to deal damage when they are cornered.
Many Safe Normals, long range S.Rh (he can’t Fireball, he can’t DP) , just whiff samething light, and bait.
If they want to jump out, or air tatsu out nj.hp sends them back to the corner.
Focus Attack is a bad idea for Offense, it is way to slow, and Ryu can easily break it with cr.mk xx Hado
Way2)
Since you had him in the corner with 3 bars you could have easily put him in a Guess/Mindgame.
If you have them Cornered and in a safeblockstring. Your opponent usually knows when he can push buttons safely.
That is the Moment for a psychic EX DP -> U2
That catches so many people off guard.
With FADC it would have been Safe even if he blocked, and you could have gone for a throw or backdash safely.
The next time (if he isn’t a scrub) he may might hesitate-> go for throw.
Random thoughts I had while watching nobody68:
Minor thing, but when I’m juggling ex tatsu into U2, I always use the punch ultra (unless my opponent’s in the corner). Mid-screen, I find that U2 occasionally misses against some characters if you throw it diagonally, whereas I’ve never had the horizontal version miss even if I mess up and throw it out late. Just a good habit to get into. It’s a shame, 'cos kick ultra looks way more awesome, but there you go (Anyone else got thoughts on this? I’ll admit I haven’t checked if there’s any difference in spacing following P/K ultras - maybe K ultra leaves you in a better position after hit?)
I don’t know if that super was intentional or not vs Bison, but as far as I know, there’s never any reason to use Sakura’ super. I think you can almost always get as much/almost as much damage from an ex tatsu based combo, and it leaves you in a better position; the super chucks them right across the screen, and then you have to chase them down again
Yeah I have had the U2 KKK version miss a few times but I always attributed it to missed timing. Ill try PPP and see if that improves any. Yeah that super was supposed to be ex Tatsu but not only did I completely leave out the cr.hp but apparently I did two quarter circles instead of one. I really need to practice that combo.
Think the thing is EX Shunpuu allows you to move earlier than expected, so if you’re not fast enough with Shinkuu Tengyou Hadouken you’ll end up missing it. If the game is particularly laggy then opting for regular Shinkuu Hadouken isn’t a bad idea.
I finally got the time to upload this, but this was a match that I played last month against Filipino Champ. It was casuals, but he was playing Boxer, while I was playing Sakura. Any criticism will do, thanks.

Here’s a match against a friend’s Guile.

I’d say that I shouldn’t of been scared of those sonic booms and just neutral jumped em instead of using her hadoukens. Also at round 4 I probably should have been taking it easy instead since I had the life lead I kinda got impatient and kept jumping at him. This lost me the match. Also at 2:13 I had no idea that her cr.hp could interrupt his double sweep XD. Anyway, feel free to criticize.
EDIT: Another thing, at around 2:35 I tried to go for reset combo but his cr. jab stopped me, will this always happen? cause I used a delayed j.hp to reset and crossup.
On round 1: I don’t really understand why you threw a reversal ex shouoken if you weren’t going to press him afterward… If you know you’ve lost the round then you might as well give up the round and save your super bar. You don’t need to win every round, especially in a first to 3.
Also pay attention to what your opponent is doing. I saw you focusing a sonic boom when he was clearly rushing you down, and then you ate a cr.hk because you feared an overhead coming. Minding attacks should not be the way to go when it comes to defense(well, you can reversal ex shoryu if you have 3 ex bars).
More generally: you’re relying too much on ex tatsu setup and combos. It eats up your bar everytime and you get punished anyways if you mess up. Finishing your combos with a shouoken will open up to more possibilites overall since Guile is free on wake-up.
He can be safe-jumped, his reversal has to be charged and his flash kicks lose to cross-ups ! Use that to your advantage and tick-throw/bait him to death.
Also, work on your cr.hp anti air . You let him jump on you so many time, i felt very sad ;<<.
And yeah, you lost patience on the last round but in your defense i’d say he hid his charged ultra with a double jump back. That’s the part of the game where you can’t trust your instinct but rather think twice before doing anything. One of the safest option would be to just walk forward and crouch guard on reaction.
Though I don’t really understand why sometimes you walk backward… It’s not like Guile has any mean to flee to the otherside of the screen like Ken/Ryu/Akuma and his rush down game isn’t all that good…
Concerning your reset attempt at 2:35: you were clearly in frame disadvantage. Hit it a bit sooner next time.
How fail is this?
