I stand corrected on one point, but you say because of that, copies were ok.
I believe (but could be wrong) that you can still watch the entire ting on ustream. So if it’s all watchable, that goes against you saying because of it, copies were no problems. A few days ago, an Irish friend of mine who couldn’t watch the live stream due to lag watched the SC4 finals on ustream. Unless they were removed since then…

“Cheap” way is getting a camera that can record videos and set it up on a tripod or something, the “expensive” and complicated way is getting some software and hooking it up to your computer or something… think there’s a few tutorials on how to do that on youtube.
I’m still bummed you can’t record your own replay, Capcom really missed the boat on that one >.<
