Thanks man, I’m gonna get to it.
do it til you’re satisfied! -BT express
Wow , you have really improved since from the looks of your geocities stuff, and I have been checking your stuff out on dev art for a while. I knew this stuff looked fimiliar. Great stuff , do you have any tutorials on your coloring style?
On some I can, but they’re not too proper when it comes to realistic aspects. The best advice I can give you is to get the most out of criticism. Guys like MC Rook Chain and DF can open a can of crits on you and you should be fine. Another thing I tend to do is just experiment. About 75% of the stuff here is incomplete because I experiment with different approaches. If you need any like specific advice feel free to pm me man. I tend to ramble, LOL.

This’s Braver’s mech, War Machine

dope! sfmc told me for metals you gotta go really dark for darks and really light for lights. Pay attention to reflections too, you can make up stuff to reflect to give the surface more luster. rock on til the break of dawn!
Wow…Ur mecha stuff is great. Ur art is free and brave. I am impressed!!:wgrin:
that mech isn’t his drawing. he’s not that talented…
but good job coloring in other people’s work, steve.
lamer.
sho:bluu:
uhh he DID say it’s Braver’s mech. He’s not trying to take credit for the lines.
anyways keep up the good work kando and get your hair cut!
yar i know. dude who posted above me seems like he missed that by his saying “nice mech stuff.” I was just clarifying and then beating kandoken down b/c he’s black and I had to fill my quota of making a minority feel oppressed and down… y’know… the usual…
LOL, It’s cool DF, Shotokan’s my best friend in RL. He just likes to talk trash.
Rob, can you see me in drawing? Exactly.
Miss you b.

Learning how to paint lineart. I only did it around the nose and chin. A tad bit on the hair, it’s seems a bit frustrating. I did the bg last-minute.
hey kando, what is frustrating about coloring the line art? If its the colour i guess its practice but if its colouring the right part, just link a colour layer to the lineart your colouring and the colour will only appear on the lines. Oh and…are you Canandian…because my brother is working at a green acres camp O.O
LOL, nah man. I’m not Canadian. Heck, I only named it Green Acres because of the bg. Umm, by painting the lines, I actually meant, painting the LINES themselves. It makes the drawing come out smoother, instead of just another regular multiply layer and fill in the blanks. It’s hard, I’ll show you an example in a bit.
nice work kando. don’t get too carried away with the brushes though because to quote a great man, they are not “something you define, but something you define with”
