i like the 5v5 idea…i just wish capcom could get their shit together with a release date…gamestop says april 6th and id assume it will be around then prob a few weeks later cuz release dates are never fuckin right

Honestly, right now I’m not sure what we’ll be doing. I’m very glad we have a relatively solid release date, though :party:
I’ll need to run some things by Jesse, because I can’t just schedule qualifiers and expect him to be free to run them. I’ve got a pretty good idea right now, and that’s just to have 5 weeks of qualifiers, every Saturday, or even Thursdays on Game Night, from SSFIV’s release up until the week before PU2010. As I said, though, gotta run that by Jesse and see what he thinks.

Okay, so Jesse got back to me and proposed the following schedule that would allow for SSFIV to be the game played during every qualifying tournament:
May 1st - Qualifier 1
May 8th - Qualifier 2 in afternoon / Qualifier 3 in evening
May 15th - Qualifier 4
May 22nd - Qualifier 5
All are on Saturdays.
I think this schedule works really well, and keeps the hype strong right up until tourney weekend. What does everyone else think?

Right, to add something to the pot here.
Right now we have a full up schedule, but Nathan, I was thinking, we never did do that 5v5 STL vs Everyone MM in TvC at Naptown… If we had room, I’d suggest we get a team together for PU2010 and see if we can’t get them to come out and do it there. Just a thought, though.

If Im decent enough at TvC by the time PU is around. Ill propose to be on the team and help out… But I need to get a wii and be able to practice.

Oh ho, so Project Justice has some fans. I actually thought it was pretty cool as well, what little I played. Make the Project Justice hype known and we can possibly switch CvS2. Also, I’m sure we can probably run more than just the three cab tourneys. I’d just like to keep it three official, just in case. Chances are still good that we can do both CvS2 and PJ, given we have the adequate number of people around to keep it organized. Same goes for most any of the cabinets that will still be in AL once PU2010 rolls around.
how about a three cab tourny all for the price of one…cvs2 alpha 3 and project justice run that shit on sunday. best of all three wins like a mini ranbat with 3 diff games.

Looks like MWC is smack dab in the middle of PU2010 qualifiers at AL. We’ll have to change those dates. Stay tuned : )
EDIT: Qualifiers for May 15th and 22nd have been doubled up! Two chances to qualify on each day!

no project justice… we must keep CvS2…but the multi cab tourney idea is good… i’d enter in the 2 games i don’t know how to play and just pray that my placing in CvS2 would be enough to carry me… anyone happen to have Rumble Fish on cab?.. i’d totally play that if i had the chance…
MWC dropping a few weeks before PU is a kick in the nuts… they screwed up Osi’s schedule just cause he chose a sweet date even before SSF4’s release date went official… but watever i’m still most definitely coming to compete at PU… so MWC will prolly have to take a back seat
on a final note… Lost Planet 2 is going to be awesome… but alot of establishments seem confused about it’s realease date… Gamestop and Gamespot are certain that it drops next tuesday… but mroe reliable sources say march… and still more net sources say May… so i’ll have to play it by ear i suppose
