About that video capture card I mentioned, for easy monitor out and streaming of machine play – that one you can buy is $250, but everyone is telling me they’re pretty easy to make (it should cost only maybe $50 to make) so I won’t have an output card for the tourney. I’ll PM you the instructions I got from the guy on neo-geo forums in case you decide to make one someday. $250 is just too much markup on this. This guy was selling one for $60 on neo only, wish I coulda grabbed it.

If a wildcard team gets together I’d play if you needed a person, offa my SF fundamentals – fuck FADC and links, we have fireballs and dragons. I think Frank would be a perfect choice as well, and Harmon and Linwood coming with me from Cle might be interested. We could prob make it down earlier for the 5v5 if any of us were chosen for a team.
I don’t see any announcement of a wildcard team so I’m not losing sleep if this is just conjecture, lol
Osirun cancelled wildcard team because his team event is round robin. Maybe we can convince him otherwise and ill assemble the greatest wildcard team to ever wildcard the wildcard wildcard!

Can the 5v5 be done on two stations? I’m sure PU wants to stream it all but that’s a lot of matches. Having two stations would make it easier to add another team to the mix.
Also they might not want a team composed of people who didn’t play in a qualifier which is understandable if so. I think they’re already making an exception to give Carl a chance since he couldn’t make a qualifier. Unless they wanted to put together team “I’m good at fighting games but I don’t play SF4 – we’ll play in this TT to see how we do”, haha.
Actually I think that’s a cool idea, have non SF4 specialists on a team and see how they do just using mostly OG tactics. Not trying to muscle in to what you’re doing Nathan btw, just tossing what I think are fun ideas out at the zero hour
One idea that might be cool btw is to do interviews with the guys on the 5v5 throughout the day, esp if you have two guys from different teams on at the same time. You def don’t need to be commentating on every SF4 match, if that’s what you’ll be streaming most of Sat. I think that would be hype even though I won’t be around to see it

I’d like to suggest that either myself or Perfect Legend, whoever loses our FT5, should have a spot on Team Wildkeits. This team is different from Team Illinois, so Humbag could still put together his own hybrid Illinois/Wildcard.
So I say to Keits and Humbag, quickly PM/call/email/harass the best players coming, not already on a team, so you can get them on you’re team!
So now we officially have 6 teams in the main event. Yes, it would be prudent to have another TV running 5v5 matches. We’ll make sure to have them recorded using the best quality camcorder we’ll have on hand. That’s my biggest concern; just having all the matches recorded for later uploading : )
@Cabinet Tourney Concerns: I just talked with Jesse, and we’re all good. The only thing is a small amendment to the schedule so we can play using the A3 18-in-1. JoJo’s will now not start exactly at 2pm, like it is currently scheduled. Instead, because it has to share a cabinet with A3 now, we will run JoJo’s immediately after A3 finishes. JoJo’s registration cutoff, however, IS STILL AT 1:30pm.

more than 5 people want in on the wildcard team…so how are the 5 spots gonna be chosen. perhaps a small round robin or small tourny on friday night or early sat before everything gets started. but i guess that might not be possible depending on who is coming when.
