Do you guys have a better rundown on times (allthough I heard it’s easy to get backed up) on SSFIV? Some buddies are going to the Dave and Busters off 275, but I wanted to drop by AL if possible on Sat. No singles on Sat, or just the 5vs’s?
Plan on being there all day for SSF4 singles and get there early Saturday.
Are you guys planning on doing pools btw?

SSFIV registration will end at 11:30am on Saturday, and SSFIV singles will begin at 12pm. Teams will happen after singles provided we have time. The 5v5 will begin at 7pm.
We will most likely be running pools given the numbers that Super brings in. Gonna have to wait and see how many pools there may need to be. Any other games (such as Brawl or T6) which also get large numbers will also start off with pools.
If you had 3 pools of 32, you could round robin the 3 pool winners, lol, I wonder if anyone’s ever tried that. IMO that would be serious. Or just use two 64-man brackets w/ a bunch of byes (since you have the 128-man cap). Just thinking out loud.
I can’t wait for the CvS2 action on Sunday =)
4 32-man with 2 surviving each pool into a new top 8 bracket (4 in winners 4 in losers) makes the most sense.
Ghaleon- yea i held out pretty long while school was kicking my ass. now i have a bit more free time and i’m in town, so it’s not that far away. plus it’s a cvs2 tournament, how often do you see those anymore?! and i’d do $5 cvs2 money matches with real teams, $1 random select/groove for fun. i am still in school afterall!
MrBlastyV2- nice…hope it’s still treating you well, i didn’t use it much when i played cvs2 on xbox live. i’d say you got one hell of a deal on it too!
digimonemporer- how to play against K-groove? pick A-groove with some combination of…
-sakura (shoshosho, don’t get too predictable with RC’s)
-vega (use his speed, RC rolly claw, RC flip kicks for AA, and general annoyance)
-blanka (RC electricity, he’s blanka)
-bison (monster custom if hit, still breaks guard if done properly on block, deep RC psycho crusher for AA and you’re safe)
-todo (waves up close push them out, they can’t physically JD all hits, and his blocked wave CC’s chip a bunch)
-iori/kyo (if and only if you can do their guard crush DP customs, i never could)
come and find me on sunday and i can help you with whatever else you wanna know, or post it up. i don’t think there’s gonna be any beastly K-groovers at the tourney, so you should be good.

I have both versions. I was planning on using upper on the Naomi cab but I can use the Cps-2 board if the other showcase is free during the time slot. Which would A3 players prefer?
The people who don’t care (probably most of the people who will play in the tourney) will play either fine, but the 18-in-1 with original A3 is the tournament version. Reason is it has crouch canceling, more V-ism goodies, etc.
I know Frank was pretty bummed that Upper was gonna be used – I really doubt most people play with A3 at high level but if you can help it you want to use the 18-in-1 board.
