Versis has two basic Hori sticks for PS3 and 2 basic Hori sticks for 360. A lot of people bring their preferred pad or stick though and it is recommended.
I usually bring a Tournament Edition PS3 stick.
We play SF4 on both platforms and the other games depends on what systems we have it for. I recommend people bring their games and sticks as that usually helps out.
Good to know. I’m building my own stick so I guess I’ll have to use one of the standard hori sticks til I finish padhacking my xbox controller.
Okay, for tonight:
Single Elimination, “registration time” will be up till 8:45ish and we’ll start around then as well. This’ll be free as it’s another test run. If you think you’ll make it around then but aren’t totally sure of an exact time, give me a call (503 839 9984) and we can talk and I can try and push you towards the end of the bracket/drop your match to the bottom of the list. I won’t hold any longer than about 5 minutes though once we do get to a matchup, I want this to run as efficiently as possible. There will be a 3rd place match played as well. Sets will be best 2 out of 3, 3 round matches, except for Grand Finals which’ll be 3 out of 5.

Pasqual, perhaps we can do more than one SE style tournament. One with main chars, then the other with alts (Read: No Abel or Sakura for BBH. j/k) or a random character selection or something.

Hello everyone! Last night was a rousing success, with a total of 20 players competing in our test run of the single elimination bracket. Congratulations again to BBH for winning the second week in a row, as well as Alix and Ray respectively taking 2nd and 3rd again.
A special congrats to our newer members, who all played solidly. Xeris, Monkeys, Holyrobot, and Jon all made good first showings and G-Effect tied for 5th (only losing to Alix) in just his second week with us at Versis!

i believe it would give us good experience against multiple characters and play styles. i feel team format is more fun and think it would be interesting to do. let me know what you guys think of this format.

if you wanted to add a point system we could do +1 for wins +0 for loses as everyone gets to play and there are a potential 2 points per game.

+1(2?) extra if a team sweeps so like
1a vs 2a (1a wins +1)
1b vs 2b (1b wins +1)

this way it would encourage teamates to help eachother with their matches.
