Ross has the brackets for the pre NWMajors tournament.

The ones I posted were of the ranbat test

“Dan strategies” workshop please

mash lk tatsu.

I must again stress that I am not much of a Boxer player at all and my opinions on his matchups should not be taken seriously. I would of course defer to Scott or kwyjibo on that. But ya know, if people need practice learning certain matchups better I’m happy to attempt to assist in that. I can play a lot of characters, some of them just not very well! Mackinzie wanted to practice Boxer vs Abel but we only got to play one game before I called off for a tournament match.

I’ve realized that maybe I haven’t done enough in telling people how they could improve, but I think that’s because I don’t want to come off as some arrogant jackass giving people criticisms they didn’t ask for. If people are serious about stepping up their game and want my honest critiques like Jetay does, then I will definitely try and assist in that manner.

You never come off as arrogant and I think everyone respects your opinion. I know I do tons of stupid things during matches and I would love for people to call me out of them.

I played some matches with Panda last night and he kept telling me about the mistakes I was making and it was one of the most constructive sessions I have had in a while. It would be cool if we had more of that going on at the fight nights. Also we have all these matches being recorded now, it would be great if we all commented on them and gave tips to one another based on what we see.

Haha…I’m glad you found it constructive. We’ll play more on Thursday. Ryu is a character I’m interested in playing on the side, he’s fun, in a basic way. I can already tell you’re better than you were on Thursday. See, you can do it! Just takes practice, and guts! And practice. A lot of practice.

Btw, LordBBH, I played you 25 times as Viper against your Abel. There are some obvious things I saw about myself, like my inability to block crossups and other dumb stuff I can work on easily, but anything you’d like to comment about the matches would be highly appreciated. It was a little while ago, but if you remember anything or see anything on Thursdays, give me a heads up. This goes for anyone else who wants to comment on my gameplay. Tear me down plox.

You’ve always been considerate and nice, and that’s always appreciated  But I will certainly ask you for your perspective on things hehe.

But I also know how… how should I put it… awkward it can be when people ask you a question about something you might not have been actively thinking about hehe. It could be something you know and respond to, but it wasn’t on your mind so the proper thoughts and words don’t seem to pop up without much reflection. But for sure, you’ve never stuck your foot in your mouth at the Fight Nights so far and your input’s always been appreciated and never forceful.

You’ve always been very helpful for me, personally. I just sometimes struggle to find the right question to ask hehe.

Side Note – Some cool Q&A moments that I benefited from:

I asked BBH about doing more damage in KOF XII and he trained me on Critical Counter combos and I benefitted from that so much in online play and a private session I had with Alix and his friends in KOF XII.

I asked Alix about his matches with Sam Y about a week ago and I was pretty surprised about his account: “He’s really good, but I could sense he was holding back a bit in hesitating to do some combos he wasn’t sure he could pull off–so I started throwing him.” (During those matches, I think Sam Y wasn’t sure in the TE stick he was using, because he usually plays with his Seimitsu stick–I was kind of shocked seeing Alix “seeing that” in the match).

Pretty awesome when you find the right questions

i don’t mind critcism, i’ve been playing street fighter long enough to know.

it’s not about YOU!!

 we’re coming to get better as a team to help eachother grow.

if i’m not doing something or don’t realize or know a match up that you have knowledge. i’m not good at this game enough to get more creative than crappy 3s tactics and i know that i can’t tech throws. lol

haha i guess the point is already made that everyone would value your input(im like the 6th in a row about to say this) but yeah i would definitely appreciate your input. i remember at the last sat. tournament at versis you were sitting behind me while i played a blanka(cant remember dude’s name) and you said something like “oh man he coulda done this or that” i dident know weither to think you just thought i was terrible or come up and ask what you were talking about, but needless to say i have room for improvement so any serious advice i take seriously.

I 7th this. I would definitely love to hear the input and feedback from players.

you keep biting my style slash only i should mash. lol

Haha 90% of the time i actually know the result haha

Is there going to be a ranbat at Versis tomorrow? If so, what time will it start?

I think Pasqual is going to try something along the lines of single elimination. Perhaps there might be two, but if there is, I’d guesstimate some time around 8ish?

That’s a bit too early for me. I’ll try to make it but don’t wait for me I might not be there until about 12.

I’m coming today. My first time. Trying to get there around 7:30ish to check out the place.

Excellent! See you there!

If I’m understanding the ranbats correctly and I’ve never been here before, we’re playing on a console right? So does everyone bring thier own pad/stick?
