Agreed. The age of "let’s put 1 STAB move and Bolt/Beam-Close Combat~Superpower/Stone Edge/EQ with 252/252/6 EV spreads on every goddamn thing should end.

Bah Who am I kidding. Even if they gave Flareon a Megaevolution Gamefreak would probably “improve” him by turning him back into Eevee, who at least gets great physical STAB with Double Edge, Giga Impact, and Return. Fire Fang GF? Really?
Flareon is wasted potential. We can give it agility, flare blitz, whatever but it still would suck somehow lol. It’s too slow, can’t setup, and is a fire type. Interesting enough, Glaceon is nothing more than a reverse Flareon. I can’t decide which is worse, but at least Glaceon kills Dragons. That has to count for something.
I’d say Flareon is worse simply because Glaceon can get mileage out of its STAB on its best attacking stat, with STAB Blizzards and Ice Beams. Even with a Guts-boost, the best Flareon has using its 130 base Attack is Flame Charge or Fire Fang, which is really underwhelming.
Guess you could always use a Flash Fire-boosted Flareon with Overheat in the Sun after being boosted by a partner’s Helping Hand, though, right? Oh wait, Heatran hits harder with that, lol…
I heard there will be a dragon-evo for eevee, is this true? I think the mega-evolved Ampharos looks gay as fuck, they should have given that mother fucker some cool ass wings and claws or something instead of going all pantene provine on him.

I did try to get into the metagame during Black 1, but the pokemon i really favored was Cubone and that nigga was a light cup from what i remember. I’m wondering if it is possible to still carry a good team with out shitting him out.
A dragon evo for eevee would make sense to me because all the other evos were originally special attack types. I imagine fairy would have been a special attack type if it were around in gen 2.
I wish they would reveal stats for the new pokemon already.
It’s probably going to be awhile before anyone can get us a base stat list this time around. The 3DS is notoriously hard to hack, and the games are releasing worldwide at the same time, meaning all those hackers don’t have half a year to import the Japanese version and crack it open.
At best, they will data mine the full games in a couple of months, and at worst they will have to mathematically reverse-engineer each new Pokemon’s base stats individually.
I’m not really all that concerned, though. I’m going into a media blackout for a few weeks after release anyway…
I agree. Which is why I’m calling for a Farfetch’d evolution and not a Mega. Also, according to an interview in Japanese, none of the new Kalos Pokemon will have Mega Evolutions.

The qualifications for who gets a Mega are Popularity, Appearance, and Gameplay Balance… Apparently they wanted Mega Pokemon to stand toe-to-toe with legendaries, hence the one Mega per team limit. The timing of when you go Mega is selectable.

I heard a rumor that the Clefairy, Togepi, and Chansey lines would be retyped to fairy. Since Jigglypuff has already been revealed as fairy, the rest of the fairy egg group being fairy type makes sense, I suppose. Blissey is and Chansey are gonna be a pain in the ass to KO now, especially if they become pure fairy instead of normal/fairy.
The lack of sweeper fairy candidates is somewhat disturbing to me. Hopefully Jirachi, Azelf, Manaphy, and Victini will become fairy.
The power/accuracy changes to special moves seems a bit unnecessary, but if it means the other 120 power moves will have 85 accuracy like Fire Blast and Seed Flare, I’m cool with it.
