I just hope older gen Pokemon will have access to the newer and more complementary Traits and moves- i.e. Hard Jaw trait Granbull and Lapras learning Freeze Dry.

Fuck Kingdra with its no movepool having ass. Only used as much as it is because nothing can take a Draco Meteor/Outrage AND Rain-boosted Surf/Waterfall without getting outsped and dying. Can’t wait for Azumarill to shove a boot up its ass.

They’ve really gone back to basics so to speak, so even the vets are gonna be fumbling around at first learning and adjusting like everyone else.
On the Dragon Eevee evolution. From what i heard, the rumor was either a dragon eevee or a poison eevee. Seeing that the new Eevee is a Fairy type, the other new Eevee would be it’s counter or the one that is countered by it just like Umbereon and Espeon. Although the info is of no reliable source.
As for the awaited new evolution, the only Pokemon i feel who should have an evolution is Ditto.

Alright I’m a noob here so I need a suggestion on a start up team.
I don’t know what I want in the long term but are there aggressive styles in this game?
Aggressive styles are the norm actually (though things might change due to the shakeup).
As for a startup team, there’s no preset meta teams like in Marvel or anything. Just name a Poke you like, and build around it. Hopefully the Poke you pick isn’t too terrible but that’s usually not too big an issue unless you pick Flareon.
LOL Flareon gets no respect… Deservedly so, but still funny…
I can’t really coach anyone on team building as there are so many different Pokemon and options for each… Especially since my focus has gone from “being the very best, like no one ever was” to “troll as much as possible and watch the opponent writhe in fury because they can’t knock out my Jigglypuff & Friends(lol Eviolite Jiggs w/Friend Guard+Guard Share Shuckle).”
But yeah, aggressive is the name of the game for now, but a smart player can make almost anything work… Except for Flareon, of course, lol…

Black & White are the only Pokemon games that I have ever purchased, due to sheer time constraints, lol, and I still have yet to get around to them.
These new ones sound too tempting NOT to dip my little toe in, but I swear - you guys make it sound like some Good Will Hunting level maths shit, spoken in Finnish.
If you’re confused now then you have no shot to take it seriously outside of the usual single player fun (which is fine, it’s always great as a Single Player game).

If you understand fighters on a competitive level, you’ll be able to grasp Pokemon on a competitive level.
Pokemon is like a lot of Nintendo games- Looks dopey and kiddy on the surface, but is deeper than the ocean once you start digging into it.
The beautiful thing? It’s only as deep as you want it to be… You can play with no regards to the deeper competitive aspects and still have a shitload of fun, so don’t sweat it if some of the stuff we talk about is outside your current scope. It all comes in time.
