… Fairy type? Eeh, that seems incredibly niche, doesn’t it? At the risk of being generic, wouldn’t Light/Holy be a far more flexible and encompassing typing with more clear cut weaknesses/strengths?
It’s not as bad as it could be, sure, but it seems super specific, like having a Fish or Reptile typing.
Naw, Parting Remark will be fine. It will make Pursuit-trapping certain mons hilariously easy… What’s that, Latios? You wanna Draco Meteor everything? How about I fuck up your offense/defense(wonder what stats get reduced)… do you wanna stay in while weakened and let me set up, or do you switch out and get wrecked by Pursuit? Sounds fun.
I want the Fairy-type stuff to be real-- Immunity to Dragon AND you get super-effective damage on two of the most powerful types(Dragon and Fighting)? Being weak to Poison and Steel gives those types something to do other than dropping/absorbing Toxic Spikes and soaking up attacks as well.
It’s almost too good of a balance for Game Freak to think of, so I’m leaning towards false, but the fact that they are being so close-mouthed about telling us Mewtwo-X, Sylveon, Xerneas and Yveltal’s types makes me think it could be true. It’s just trollish enough for them…
Dual-typed moves could be either the best thing ever, or the opening of the flood gates for chaos the likes of which competitive players have never seen. If it’s only a couple of signature attacks here or there, it could be an interesting dynamic… If even half of this stuff turns out to be true, then GF has really stepped their game up and are actively trying to liven up the gameplay. Kudos.
Jigglypuff, Clefable for sure, Dunsparce, Togekiss, Blissey, Lickilicky, and last but not least Snubbull/ Granbull. The rest might be single typed Pokemon that become dual typed Fairies now, like Volbeat and Illumise.
Mewthree could possibly be Psychic/ Fairy. It would explain his diminutive redesign and serve as a promotion for the new type.
