It has no good physical fire moves to take advantage of its high attack with. The best it has is fire fang.
Also low HP, low defense, low speed, and STEALTH RAWKZ.
I always thought Steel should hit Dragons super-effectively.
Flareon will get a buff when they give one to Farfetch’d, or when whoever apparently has it in for them at Game Freak leaves or dies. “Dux” has been begging them for some respect for years, and they gave him a stick.
Screw that bird, I need my Pinsir and Jynx Evos.
I always thought Farfetch’d could evolve into a pretty beastly Flying/Fighting Pokemon with a traveling monk motive… Farmonk? Wandetch?
@Bious: Lord no. I haven’t battled seriously since the Advance/Netbattle days–I’m too obsessed with gimmick sets/trolling to battle for realz. Also, much like Skullgirls, certain elements within the community really put me off. (To this day, I have sworn an intifada against the Smogon community and its supporters for banning me from their Netbattle servers for being too good[63-0!] against some of their “gods” of battling-fuck a Skarm and a Chaos)
@Lord_Raptor: Everyone else already covered it, but yeah, there’s an unwritten rule at Game Freak that Flareon must always be ass. All it needs is Flare Blitz(or my theorized Fire priority move) and it becomes instantly useable. Look what happened when they finally gave it to Entei…
@Farfetch’d: Another cult favorite poke that never gets any love and is desperately in need of an evolution. Everyone wants Fighting/Flying, which is why GF will never do it. Has a great movepool, a unique item and Defiant from the Dream World allows it too get boosts from Intimidates/random effects of moves. So of course it has to have subpar attacking stats and shitty speed/defenses…
Funny thing is I’m actually working on a Triples/Doubles team featuring Stick Farfetch’d fishing for crits… Having shitty attacking stats doesn’t hurt too much when you’re crit haxing everything in sight.
I think with Steel being a naturally defensive type, it’s pretty good where it’s at. Poison on the other hand…
Pinsir is a prime target for an evo-upgrade. He needs more ornate Pinsirs man. Bug/ Ground (or Dragon if they really wanted to take a risk) typing would bode well too.
Bird - Yayakoma (Normal/Flying) - Probably the rt. 1 bird.
Yellow Lizard thing = Elikiteru (Electric/Normal) - New move called “Parabola Change” that heals it and damages the opponent.
Panda = Yancham (Fighting) - Has a new move called “Parting Remark”.
Goat = Gogoat (Grass) - You can ride it on the world map.
Serebii also says he’s not 100% sure this leak is legit yet (actual issue releases on the 15th), but it looks way too legit to be fake.
Also: Character customization! Looks like you can pick from three preset hair/skin colors (possibly more?):
Yo. I liking these new Pokemon designs. KUNG-FU PANDA! A fucking riding goat? The Japanese must think Europe is still in the Middle Ages or something, lol.
They’re finally giving (slight) character customization a go… now everyone that’s been demanding it can be satisfied a little bit.
Hopefully GF gives us the typings of Xerneas, Yveltal, and Sylveon as well. Really interested to see if this Fairy-type rumor turns out to be true.
[details=Spoiler]Fairy will be a new type. It is weak to Poison and Steel, immune to Dragon, and super effective against Dragon, Dark, and Fighting-type Pokemon.
Sylveon is Fairy-type. Some older Pokemon will be reclassified to Fairy, such as Mawile (Steel/Fairy).
Mewtwo has two new formes, not just one. Both are activated via items.
The professor’s English name is Patrice.
The Starter final evolutions are, as many people predicted, Fire/Psychic, Grass/Fighting, and Water/Dark.
The first Gym is Bug, the second is Fairy, and the fourth is Fighting.
A few attacks will be dual-typed.
There will be a new type of battling style that Flying-type Pokemon and Pokemon with Levitate can participate in.
You will be able to see a Pokemon’s EVs at a certain in-game facility. You will be able to boost the EVs through mini-games. It will take about two hours to get one stat to max EVs.
Well this is nice step in the right direction. Dual type attacks have been something I’ve pondered about since RSE, but implementing it will be tricky.
As for the final forms of the starters (which I’m guessing are guinea pigs for dual type attacks), dual stab weaknesses for the 3 types is overkill imo. Fire/Psychic, Grass/Dark, Water/Fighting would’ve been far more interesting.
Hurray if these rumors are true Poison Pokemon and Attacks might actually have a purpose!
