You could classify a million Pokemon as Fairy types. Jirachi, Celebi, Togepi family, Ralts family minus Gallade, Mew, Meloetta, etc.
Aero needs to go sit in the corner with everyone else who wanted a Gen 3 remake instead of a new game.
I like the idea of a Fairy type. Hopefully if it’s true that means GameFreak might be changing the game as a whole.
I hope this means Gamefreak might actually redistribute typings! Then I might actually have a reason get out of Poke-retirement.
They still could end up being Light type. Dark types are called Devil types in Japan. It got switched to Dark outside of Japan.
The irony is how we had Black & White which was the perfect opportunity for such a Type.

Why do that, when they can just add a type, give it a couple of strengths and weaknesses, keep Poison types terrible, and call it a day.

If this rumor turns out to be true, watch this unnecessary Fairy-type be super-effective on Dragon and Steel, whilst being weak to Ice and Fire or something like that. But they still won’t do anything about the ubiquitous Water-type…
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again–Poison should be super-effective on Water(possibly Dragon as well, but that might be asking too much), Ice should resist Dragon and Water(would give that type something it could use defensively as I think its solid offensively) and that’s really it for the big stuff.
Going further, I’d consider removing Fire’s weakness to Rock and creating some kind of priority Fire attack… but I don’t want to get TOO crazy, lol.
Hard to think ahead when money keeps getting thrown at you without having to change the formula that much. EA Sports knows what I am talking about.

Can they like upgrade ditto? I used to love that pokemon during that time, but when i got him in red he was shit to use. They should like give him an evolution or allow him to have new moves or something.
He got an ability that basically makes him into the perfect revenge killer… except his HP is still crap and he needs a Choice Scarf to do so. Plus if you see a ditto on your opponents team you can plan for it.
At the very least he has a niche. That’s more than you can say for a lot of Gen 1 shit.
Ditto can use quick powder IIRC, so that he doesn’t get locked into one move.

Any of you guys still battle online? I haven’t touched PO since Smogon and their ilk have effectively fucked up everything above UU beyond recognition, but I never respected that metagame style anyway.

Quick Powder doesn’t work when Ditto transforms IIRC.
