People acting like its so hard to give every fully evolved pokemon the same amount of total base stats.
Never defend Gamefreak, they are lazy money making pieces of shit.

They don’t need anyone to defend them for the reason you stated. They making money.
I am going to fight you for disagreeing with me Bious. They making money MAKING THE SAME GAME FOREVER.
AT LEAST IN MADDEN 2014 MICHAEL VICK IS GOING TO SUCK ASS BECAUSE THEY UPDATE THE STATS.
i bet the fire one is fire/fighting
Make a lot of money for minimum effort. That’s pretty much the dream.
Even the worlds are basically exactly the same. Nintendo must just be like “I can’t believe these games are still getting good ratings!”
But they are. So again, Game Freak has no reason to change their ways with the amount of money they make each release.
Unless you can organize a massive boycott of death…there’s really nothing to be done. Pokemon will always sell.
Man i really think they should make an Online RPG of Pokemon already. The thought of wild pokemon going around just like how wild monsters are in online RPG’s sounds cool. With additional friends to tag along or something…
Is PokeMMO still around? That fad went strong for a while but I haven’t been on since last year.

Sorry, I had to because every pokemon having the same BST is retarded.
I wouldn’t mind if they adjusted the stats though.
Edit: Unless you were thinking about every pokemon having the same BST but different stat placements. Like Pokemon A has 50 more attack than pokemon B but 50 less speed, but Pokemon B has 50 more defense than pokemon A but 50 less attack.
Different placements, just same TOTAL stats. So defensive ones would have way more in defense, machamp tons of attack, etc. I mean how many fully evolved pokemon are there? Like 300 or something?
So yeah, what you said in the edit. It wouldn’t be hard at all and would completely erase power creep. Its just them being extremely lazy.
It could work… although a major problem with that is you’d have some stupid stat placements, making some pokemon become horrendously OP’d that way (Shedinja with non-crap attack and speed, Breloom with respectable speed, Shuckle with more HP).
Also that would take out some of the uniqueness of Pokemon (Why would I ever run Drizzletoad when I got Kyogre).
I think them just adjusting the BST’s and reworking some mechanics (like abilities, I seriously refuse to believe they even tested Moody) would work better. For example, change Politoed and Ninetales weather abilities so that they only last about 3 turns or so. Kyogre and Groudon can keep their infinite-weather abilities.
Edit: Actually, Shuckle would still suck no matter what you do with it, and I’ll assume Legends would have a higher stat total. My point still stands though.
I don’t even think it has to be as balanced as VS stated. They just have to erase this IV variation completely, and stop making such ridiculous variation in base stats to the point where some Pokemon are completely moot in competitive play because other Pokemon do the job better. It’s like they throw around retarded stat spreads just on a lark irrespective of balance. Is there any reason why Houndoom has a 199 max Def with 354 max HP?
This series needs an overhaul badly.
We all know they aren’t gonna overhaul it because of;
A. Moneywhores
B. Marketed to children
I mean, they do pay attention to the competative scene (or maybe that’s on Nintendo’s side), so who knows what they think balance is.
If it had speed like jolteon and hit harder than it does now Houndoom would be viable with those def and hp stats… Yeah don’t get the balance logic they come up with…

If the official VGC tournaments are any indication, Nintendo is mostly concerned about doubles balance, not singles like just about everyone else, and at level 50 instead of 100. They also have banlists that includes mostly legendaries whether they’re considered broken or not (or if they’re Chatot, because of the potential for PENISPENISPENISPENIS Chatter). Evasion and 1HKO moves are also fair game. The only banned moves as far as I can tell are Sky Drop and Dark Void, and the only banned item is Soul Dew.
RNG is pretty much their way of balance. Abilities like Moody were put in the game to give low tier stuff like Bibarel a chance to compete, even if it basically comes down to coin flips. Same with things like hax abuse Dunsparce and anything with Sand Veil+Double Team (or the only reason moves like Swift exist). There’s a very prevalent “Smash Bros.” mentality where the random factor adds to the fun, but becomes increasingly less fun the more seriously you take it. They need to escape this line of thinking before we even begin to approach any kind of universal balance.

It’s the same with Raticate. It has measly HP and defenses, which would be fine if it were fast, but they had to stick it with a crazy 97 base speed just to make sure it doesn’t outpace anything past the competitive benchmark, dooming it to jobber status. Give the guy a break!
Replace smash with nintendo mentality. They apply the (no skill allowed/random luck/forcing chance) idea to a lot of their games. Mario Kart, Smash now, pkmn, Mario Party and to a degree other games by holding your hand.
Found this funny:
At this point, I don’t really think there’s anything Game Freak can really do with the balancing. They could reboot everything, but then you run the risk of alienating everyone that is familiar with the current system… Remember all the bitching that took place when Ruby/Sapphire came out? Fuck all you hipsters over the age of twenty claiming they’re your favorites–I know you all whined and complained when you couldn’t bring any of your Gen 2 dudes over
Besides, with the massive power creep that’s been going on since Black/White dropped, there isn’t much they CAN do-- once regular mons start showing up with base 120+ stats, you KNOW shit is going to be chaotic from here on out. About all they can do is start coming up with more crazy ass moves like Wonder Room(would love to see a version of it that messes with offensive stats) and give the lesser mons more stuff like new evos or an Eviolite for offenses/speed
But, what do I know? I’m the guy that sits back and trolls with stuff like Skill Swap Contrary Spinda and Baton Pass Scizor + Medicham…lol.
Za Wheel of Rumors is Turning:
Apparently, Hiro, aka Hirobyte aka Jesus Casado (the same guy who leaked all the B/W 'mons before gen 5 came out), who also happens to be an employee at the Spain version of Official Nintendo Magazine, very randomly and bluntly posted on his blog that Sylveon and Xerneas will be “Fairy” types, and that Clefairy will be retconned into a Fairy type. He also made a post of twitter saying Yveltal is a Dark/Flying type.
Serebii confirmed on GFAQs (http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/696959-pokemon-x/66014706) that this in fact the same guy who spoiled all the 5th gen stuff years ago, and wonders how long he’s gonna keep his job if this is all true. The news is starting to circulate to site like NowGamer, but Nintendo Europe apparently doesn’t care yet, so this could either be spectacular trolling, a huge assumption presented as truth, or the real deal and Hiro just doesn’t care what happens.
why not just call it light type? Fairy seems kinda corney.
this all hinges if it is true of course.
