ev’s and natures are fine they let you run the same pokemon in a different way. IV’s suck because they are ridiculously hard and there’s no reason not to have them maxed.
And it’s such a fucking whiplash considering just a tournament ago the only reason Ash lost was because FUCKING TOBIAS had the Uber team from hell and was packing a fucking Darkrai and Latios. And Ash was the only one who took down Darkrai the entire tournament. How do you go from that to using a Pokedex on a Pokemon you’ve fought 50 times?!?!

@White Shadow used a Johto episode for the perfect analogy involving coincidentally his fav pkmn. The episode involves a trainer using his PC to calculate his Scizor stats and plan of attack while Ash just throws Heracross in there and basically button mashes his way to victory.
if it’s one thing I hate in video games is the idea of just going into something, CoD, pkmn, Smash Bros, etc with no real plan and just hope for the best. I’m a guy who preps. Hence why I strive for perfect stats and as such the easiest way is to hack them while still adhering to keeping it legitimate…HOWEVER seems like some here judge me on such practices…

Look stats wise you need them perfect so at best you have the edge on an opponent and at worst you’re even with them. As far as I’m concerned, I WANT to be the very best, like no one ever was! However the catching part is not my real test nor training them is my cause. But seriously, why do you care what I define as fun? What’s fun for me is battling plain and simple. I have poured into each pkmn game to gen 4 well over a combined 2,000 hours…My Blue, Silver, Ruby, Leaf Green, Pearl I have invested a LOT of time into getting them to lv100 to battle. My fun is derived from the battles not by the fucking tedium of catching based on chance. you think I WANTED to throw 50 fucking ultra balls at Metwo? fuck no! that’s what my master ball is for! I want my pkmn ready to battle so I can rape dumbass naive nature guys like you. IF I need to calculate shit for this game it’s going to be on the battle aspects.
I do enjoy crunching numbers but NOT for breeding. I’m not Brock or fucking Ass Ketchum like you are thinking you’re better than me just because I hack for LEGIT stuff. I’m a fighter not a lover in this series. THAT is what drew me into pokemon 15 years ago. The joy of creating a team that can wipe out other teams with the fun of strategy. I only caught what I needed. Hell yes I abused the missingno bug, the item box bug in GSC. I did it to help me get my desired team and shit done easier.
I play this series and hack for my team so I can cut the time down now so I don’t waste my life and time for no reason. I have a fucking Job, a GF, a life to focus on. I have no time anymore for breeding shit…leave that to others. If you like it fine good for you and have a fucking pokecookie. But my beef was you saying I take the fun out of the game trying to use judgement on me but guess what? it’s not very effective. I’m not hacking anyone’s game by my own so mind your own fucking business and let me worry about getting my team ready to battle while you can go run around a town with a fucking poke egg only to hatch a shitty baby with bad stats.
I watched well into Seasons involving Gen 3 and 4 and well…they really dumbed things down…wouldn’t have been so bad if they just went wit ha new protagonist.

People just figured out how to manipulate EVs and IVs to mold their Pokemon into what they wanted them to be. I think it was a good addition. Otherwise, my Scizor would be the exact same as the next person’s. That alone would leave a lot to be desired when it came to strategy and planning.
Lmao… that’s funny because I was thinking you and August sounded like the usual antagonists in the series. Either way, the training is part of what makes the game fun. I know I would be bored as hell with the game if I just hacked everything I wanted.
Also, I wasn’t saying that YOU took the fun out of the game, just that I wouldn’t find doing what you do fun.

Because ash did age at one point,( besides them out right saying it) time had passed there was a big kerfuffle involving him and Gary again. They had resolved their issues (Gary being less of an ass), and they had fought in a tournament.
A few episodes later and a time skip Gary was older and was more mature, ash as well ( remember during the may and dawn parts, ash was the well trained well versed trainer and they were the “kid” as iris likes to say so often), and was becoming a Pokemon professor, like his grandpa except obviously he knew what genders were. This is where they first introduced electrovire ect ect,

It’s a kid show B… I wouldn’t expect the younger kids to know about a pokemon created damn near 15 years ago…
I know it’s a kid show but if that’s the case, why not just make a new character and have him go on an adventure rather than pretty much nullifying whatever development Ash actually had for 14 years.
Or…you know, have someone else point the Pokedex at Koffing? Ash isn’t the only one there. That, along with all of his other rookie mistakes which make no sense given everything he’s gone through.
Seriously, just put a new protagonist in. It’d be less infuriating.

2 - …really dunno. Wasn’t a fan of the Gen 2 Pokemon for some reason. Well, except for Suicune.
3 - Blaziken. It would be Latios but I waited until Emerald to actually get one, since I had Sapphire.
4 - Lucario. I think I have a Lucario obsession…seriously, I have like 20 EV trained Lucarios, going on 24. 
5 - Zoroark. The only Gen 5 Pokemon I liked at first, outside of Snivy and its evolutions.
Also, another random topic…has anyone else gotten Pokerus right when they started EV training in their games? Seriously, right when I first started EV Training in my Diamond version, I got Pokerus. Then when I got Platinum, I started EV training…and got Pokerus. Then when I started EV training in Pokemon White…you guessed it, I got Pokerus. :eek:
Unfortunately I have yet to find a single shiny Pokemon in any of my games…outside of the Red Gyarados which doesn’t really count. :bluu:
