There is a difference between constructive and destructive criticism.
Your comments would have been constructive if you had said:
“I see the reason you’re doing this, however in addition you should probably also start a paper petition campaign or some kind of real fan submission. This worked with so-and-so and it will help your cause as well.”
Instead you said:
“You guys are stupid for doing this, don’t bother, online petitions don’t work, this should be banned from the forums.”
Adopting a high-and-mighty complex, especially when your comments are pretty much wrong, doesn’t work. Especially when you’re going up against some of the most OG and respected players in the community, as well as SRK mods.

Too bad this petition was not printed up and available to physically sign during EVO, that would have been far more effective. An orderly, organized and dignified process and presentation usually goes along way with these types of efforts.
