I thought the people that hold onto the sf4 copy get an 11th colour…anyway doubt he’ll announce an arcade release
Based on the SSF4 PC thread, Henaki/kensk supposedly stated that a PC version would be coming out later… which would also pretty much confirm an arcade version, seeing how it’s basically the same thing, except with less online/QA-related woes.
Though what I’m wondering is…basically since all you will probably need is the disc one time to unlock the 11th color, will the disc become a coaster once you unlock the color?
You’ll probably do whatever you did with the other outdated SF games? Why are people acting like it’s so hard to hold onto a disc?
I’m just wondering if there’s anything else to it other than the eleventh color. I’m personally throwing my old disc in a fire. I’ve broken games in 2 before but never done the fire thing. My bro will probably keep his copy.

…how is it the same? making cabs for ssf4 is 10x more expensive unless you meant that they update the software of current cabs?
It’s the same as far as the software itself is concerned (as evidenced by the TTX2 loader letting people run BlazBlue:CS on home PCs). And yeah, a simple software update is what they’d be doing, which costs them basically nothing.
Of course they’d just update the software on current cabs. X2 hardware allows for what amounts to a hard drive swap.
Here in the states its possible to set up shops with console versions and of TE sticks for a quasi arcade atmosphere. It might be a lot cheaper to… a buck for one game is brutal.
Man they should get some Arcades here in Germany, haha.
Well no Arcades means almost no Japan tournaments will play SSF4.

I would be at the closest arcade in Japan that had it as soon as I knew about it. I’m just (less than 1 km) outside of Tokyo, so I’m not just saying that. 
Man, 27th/28th is sooo far away still. 
I could be wrong but two separate friends that speak japanese said on the Nationals stream just a few minutes ago that they confirmed an Arcade release.

Was just watching the stream myself, I don’t actually speak JP but Ono said something like “Your voices have been heard, we’re going to release an arcade version of Super”. Mentioned America right along with that too so sounds like it’s confirmed for stateside!
Just KNEW it had to be done…had to keep advancing things. Now the question is will it be identical to the home version or just new characters.
I can’t imagine it not being identical to the home one. I am curious about the america comment tho.
What was the America comment specifically or are you just wondering about the stateside release time frame?
