3 console setups that have arcade style feel = checked
social aspect = checked
price per hour or price for whole day = checked
360 broke 2 days ago brought another one yesterday and works = checked
can run halo, madden, blazblue and sf4 all at the same exact time = checked
arcade cabinets all around and plenty of fighting games to choose from = checked
running tournaments every 2-3 weeks since opening 3 months ago = checked
if you come and no one is here you can play online while u wait = checked
yup i think that works really good, so this checklist isn’t gonna cut it for japan? man we must be doing really bad then. maybe that would explain why wong couldn’t make it after he was confirmed for this saturday.
The thing is, this isn’t just small towns that just don’t have arcades…this is actual major cities (For one, my city, Cleveland) that lack any arcades with good fighting games.
The arcade scene is nothing like before, regardless of where you go. That’s the reality of it in the US.

Don’t mean to go off topic, sorry, but maybe you guy can do an “arcade mania” thing. Like u pay 5 to 10 buck at the door to play unlimited. Have games on free play and whatnot. Arcades in my area do this and its a big hit. Some people only play on the days they have this. It may help bring peeps in for the weekend.
Arcade release wouldn’t have affected me but damn am I happy that there will be one now. Thinking about what might happen if there wasn’t one is scary.
For me it wasnt a scary thought. I gave up arcades awhile back anywho. I was only in this thread because I liked laughing at the long list of melodramatic responses saying that no arcade = death of the SF community forever and whatnot.
Now peeps in other countries got their arcade version. This thread can be closed now imo.
