I personally understand and find this interesting, stuffing the ultra is something all these guys should be able to do for sure… if you can do it they should be able to too, right?. I think we would all really enjoy seeing a demonstration of confidence in this particular situation so we can learn from it, just like all the playing experiences here should be educational and FUN since this is casuals. Bring yo ass up and show us what you mean :]

Fact: I have never lost to Mackinzie’s claw.

I wont be able to make it until the ranbats (holyrobot is being kind enough to let me ride with him, I offered him gas money but he hasn’t accepted the offer yet) in January, but I’ll try and stuff ultras and everything like that when I’m up there, and I’m down to discuss everything I do in certain match ups. Hell, I’ll let you know how to beat me. The more I have to develop my game/adapt the better I become.
As far as the sagat/claw match up goes…
Neutral jump roundhouse beats any wall dive.
Other than that, rush Vega down the entire match.
If the Vega is using a lot of his back flip thing that makes him invulnerable to get out of your combo you can kara srk and it will catch him as he becomes vulnerable.
Vega is weak to cross ups which can lead to a fat combo or a tick throw if blocked.
Tick with crouching short, you should be throwing out a short anyways as most combos start with short. Throw on reaction if its blocked.
Once Vega gets ultra don’t throw any fireballs unless you link into them and dont whiff any srk and really watch your kara cancels.
Vega is one of the worst characters in the game.

In case you weren’t joking:
Vega can’t combo into his ultra, has no good match ups, doesn’t have a good anti-air, has to use a makeshift over-head which leaves him open to being punished, has really low health, the one thing he has going for him is his reach which can be disabled by knocking his claw off.
There are probably a few other things.
He is considered second worst in the game. The only person worse than Vega is Dan.
Of course it really boils down to the players skill, even with all these things going against him, I still lose to my brothers Vega consistently.
Ya Ron i was joking. Do you know anybody who uses the phrase surley you jest when they are being serious.
But in all honesty thats why i attempt to play Vega, because he is that bad. Anybody can win with Balrog, Ryu, Sagat, but if you can win with someone like Vega, Guile, or Sakura then people will start to notice. Plus each win feels more satisfying with Vega or even Abel.
i believe his health is on par with the majority of the cast at 1000. i still want to know how sakura has more hp then chun…

I’m always looking to get better, and if I can help you guys to point out my faults and work on them I’m all for it.
And of course, I expect you guys to let me know if I’m doing something dumb that I don’t even realize.
I agree with telling people how to beat you. The more we can discuss our weaknesses and matchups the better we’ll get. You gotta remember, even if you’re playing with the worst character in the game, this version of Street Fighter is pretty well balanced and it’s not as big of a leap to win matches in bad matchups as it use to be.
Example: I had no idea that Sim beats Sagat in the fireball fight/long range match. Sagat’s goal is to get in to score big damage and Sim’s goal is to keep him out. Once I understood that, my wins went up against Sagats.
If you want to beat my Blanka, just pick Barlog and turtle up. I freaking hate the Barlog/Blanka matchup but should get as much experience with it as possible.
If you have learned anything new sense we played last we will have to get some matches in sometime.
I want you to beat me.
I want you guys to carpool up and get in some games with us, your attitudes seem proper and you would probably make good company and competition from what I see here.
