Yea its your graphics card, the vram is low. If you are just looking for something on a budget that can max this game out and don’t mind used look into a GTX 760 2gig version. They are going for around 100 dollars on ebay and you could max a bunch of games, not just SFV. I wouldn’t recommend anything from the 9 series (unless of course you are going for a 970 or something) because the 7 gen to 9 gen wasn’t that big of a leap, and the 1000 are just around the corner and would be a better buy for your 230 bones.
That’s pretty much what I expected to hear. Now I’m really kicking myself for buying the 750 last year instead of the 750Ti. I’ll keep an eye out for deals on the 760 or something comparable.
No shit. I’m saying that it’s pathetic that the PS4 CPU sucks so hard. They called it a “laptop” grade CPU which was already an insult, but my laptop CPU crushes it lol. Is the Jagaur CPU even on par with an i3?
Also, try mid-90’s. The PS1 geometrizer or whatever it was called, 1994, Saturn, PS1, N64 all have GPU’s. PS1 actually has less CPU power than Saturn but has better 3D and far less CPU power than N64 but can render more raw triangles per frame (supposedly).
The last console that relied strictly on CPU for graphics rendering was the 32X (console add-on, whatever).
I was talking about the PC market. 3D accelerators, as GPUs used to be called, weren’t really commonplace until the late '90s. I didn’t get one until summer of '98 for Quake 2, but maybe I’m a pleb.
Home consoles using slower clock speed CPUs also isn’t that unusual. I would imagine it would out preform an i3 in software programmed for it. Don’t i3s just have two cores?
Most laptops aren’t designed for gaming. Seeing as your model doesn’t have a dedicated graphics card I’d assume it’s suited for longer battery life and for simple work purposes. Having a stronger CPU means nothing and not being able to upgrade graphics cards in laptops have been standard since they were first released.
I upgraded my ram from 4 to 12 just because the recommended was 8 and I thought that would be a little helpful once I get the game running. I’m not sure about my CPU situation but I did notice that I currently only have Half the Dedicated Video ram needed at 1024. I’d still like little help to figure this out completely though.
I guess release being in just under 2 months actually works to my advantage gives me some time to fix my shit so I can play day 1 lol
I posted them earlier, here;
MB: ASrock FM2A68M-DG3+
Processor: AMD A4-7300 APU with Radeon HD Graphics, 3800 Mhz, 1 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s)
card:AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series
12GB of ram
The AMD conversion is tough but you could start at the video card, If you are only pushing 1 gig then start there since it is the most obvious. Most gaming GPU start at 2 gigs, its pretty standard so find out what will fit on your board and start at a minimum of 2 gigs of vram (again I am not much help with AMD cards, but I know they usually run cheaper for equal or better performance, they are just usually more hogs for power/heat).
Yeah a new card is easy enough but the CPU concerns me since my motherboard is so cheap and basic . I don’t want to find out that it may be cheaper to actually buy a PS4 than upgrading my shit lol
EDIT: I just realized I have the CPU needed for Minimum requirements and other than that the only problem I see is the Ram my Video card is lacking, so getting a new video card with 2+ Gb ram may be enough.
I’d have to get a new motherboard to fit the other card, and most likely a new power supply as well. The sizes of my MB, PS and even PC case are all so out of whack with each other I had to give the damn card a reach around with a main cord from the power supply to fit everything comfortably
No you don’t, that’s the point of a APU. APU is what AMD calls their CPUs that has a GPU on the same die. You can crossfire the APU with your video card. Your vram could be too low. That’s a easy fix with an upgrade though.
You need 2 or more gigs of video ram for this game, no less.
AMD Phenom II x6 core 1055T v2 @2.8ghz (3.3 in turbo)
AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB of GDDR5
8 gigs of samsung ram
Most people don’t know this, but high settings aren’t highest settings, recommended settings are actually the ultra settings, I don’t know why they named it that, it’s pretty misleading, but test it yourself, it uses more CPU, and GPU.
I run the game at 100 resolution scaling, max settings and get a solid 60 FPS, with some drops on intensive scenes. Sometimes it goes down to 55-58 when I gamed too long that day. But if I play at high settings 100 Res scaling, I get way above 60 FPS. Most likely i’m just going to play the game at max settings and leave resolution scaling to default, that should give me constant 60 FPS no matter how hot my machine gets. o_o
I’m surprised, I literally thought i’d be running this game at medium settings, or even low settings, cause I only get 165 FPS on Ultra Street Fighter IV maxed out, weird.
