PC Specs Thread - We're out of beta now

In an attempt to help us all figure out how close/far we are from reaching 60FPS nirvana before release, I’d like to get an idea of what’s required to make the game barely playable, required to make it totally playable, and required to make it beastly.

Post your specs here and how well your computer ran the beta. KEEP YOUR SPECS GENERALIZED Limit it to CPU, Motherboard, RAM, and Graphics Card.

Capcom’s minimum and recommended specs: http://www.capcom-unity.com/haunts/blog/2015/09/22/street-fighter-v-pc-spec-recommendations
EDIT: a great reddit thread here with a compilation of systems and performances https://www.reddit.com/r/StreetFighter/comments/3pxcjk/for_pc_beta_sf_v_users_what_is_your_pc_specs_and/

I have two rigs I tried the beta on. The first is my gaming rig
CPU: Intel i5-3570K
Motherboard: Intel Z77 Chipset with PCIe 3.0
RAM: 16GB DDR3 1600
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760
Performance: I ran this game flawlessly on max settings in-game. I even flexed and bumped up all the settings in the Nvidia control panel. I couldn’t even make the game stutter.

Then there was my ancient gaming rig which I now use as a media center.
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 8400 Wolfdale
Motherboard: P5N-D Nvidia 750 Chipset PCIe 2.0
RAM: 4GB DDR2 1066
Graphics: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 650
Performance: With rock bottom settings, I can achieve 60 FPS in the training room–until I hit a button. It’s unplayable. I even threw in my other graphics card (limited to running in PCIe 2.0) and barely saw a performance bump.
Somebody in the reddit thread noticed they ran slower on lowest settings than higher ones. This gave me the idea to use the auto settings and, lo and behold, the game became playable. Not like, let’s go online and play playable, but not a slideshow at all any more.

Conclusion: It’s the Unreal engine. You don’t need the specs Capcom is recommending. My processor and graphics card are below recommended (hundreds of dollars below) but I couldn’t even make it slow down. I can’t speak to Capcom’s recommended RAM but I wouldn’t be surprised if 8GB is inflated as well. I’m interested to see if any of you ran this game fine with some i3 processors, <8 GB RAM, or with weaker graphics cards. With Black Friday deals coming up this might be good for everybody to know.

i5-4440
8 Gigs of RAM
GTX 750 Ti

Ghetto rig you can probably get for 300 bucks and runs the game at 1080p with 60FPS on medium settings, with frame rate drops on the KO blow and ingame cinematics (supers).
So basically good-looking with nothing interfering with gameplay and you can get it for cheap.

Obviously who knows if the final game is gonna shoot up in requirements or will be better optimized, but this rig is alright for playing the beta or stress tests if Steam gets any more of these…

Very nice, thanks. I also managed to find this reddit thread where everybody did the legwork for us.

Some people are running well-below recommended and they’re running at medium/max’d settings at 1080p with no hiccups. Some guy’s rocking an i3 processor and some people are running 550 TI’s and were able to play just fine at medium/max. I haven’t seen anybody post results for < 8GB DDR3 RAM, but I can at least guess now that running even a minimum requirement rig will get you at least very close to the performance of a PS4.

They could add some graphical jank before launch, but if anything I’d expect them to just optimize it.

i7 4770K
16GB DDR3 1866mhz
980 Ti

It’s like I’m controlling a Pixar movie.

I am running a i5 4690 with a GTX 970, 16 GB of Ram

I can run 1080 P max 60 FPS, 4K lags for me 30-40 FPS…

Thanks guys. Yeah if you have a reasonably-spec’d gaming rig built within the past 2-3 years I think you’ll be able to destroy this game.

I’m interested now in finding a laptop that beasts it so I have SFV on-the-go and can stream with my Elgato for local tournaments. I’m hoping to find one between $500-700 but I’m not sure I’ll find one in that price range that can run a smooth 60 fps at PS4-equivalent or higher settings. I’ll be watching Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals like a hawk. I’ll post in this thread if I see any “OMG DEALS”. If anybody has any suggestions I’d love to hear them

Guys I’m worried. My computer is above the recommended specs in every situation except for the most important one: The Graphics Card.

The minumum Capcom recommends is: Nvidia GTX 480 or higher

The optimal Capcom recommends is: Video: Nvidia GTX 960

All I have is the GeForce 920. It’s not a GTX. Will that be able to handle SFV??? Does anyone know for sure?

Advice: if you can’t get 60FPS then TURN OFF ANTI ALIASING. This should be the first thing you do if you have kind of a low end rig. In Beta 2 you could only set AA to Low but I assume in the full version you can fully disable it for max performance.

I will investigate your card spec and update this post…
Ok, is it a 920M? Are you on a laptop?

Cannot find just geforce 920

If you are 1080p and want the game to look good, get at least an r7 370 AMD
Or gtx 950 NVIDIA

Compare your cards numbers against those 2 on Wikipedia lists of all cards from AMD and NVIDIA
If it is a 920m/laptop then i’d go with a desktop.

FX-8350 8-core 4Ghz
16GB ram
R9 290

this guy is ready to rock!

i5 6500
8 gb DDR4 ram
GTX 760

I’m actually wondering which graphical settings will be present in the full version of the game

Obviously there should be settings for

  • resolution
  • AA
  • Texture quality
  • Shadow quality

but what else? Can you set the game to display more on the screen, like adjusting the FOV slider in FPS games?

Since it’s UE4 I’m sure dudes will figure out a way to enable wire-frame mode to run on their low end rigs.

Nice, that will be looking good.

Holy Jeez!
4K all day!

ASUS ROG G751JY - Laptop

CPU2.5-GHz Intel Core i7-4710HQ
16GB RAM
NVIDIA 4GB GTX 980M

Was like playing under water no matter which settings, with frame drops and pop in from background. A little better when in actual matches online.

Yea… Something really wrong, and other 980M users reported the same problems.

I should be able to get my hands on an i3 Alienware Alpha or this rig next month: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/kxvrK8
Seeing as Capcom will not be giving the beta out to PC gamers anymore due to the leaks, I should be able to give results for the launch version of the game. Hopefully it’s well-optimized.

It works on my i3 alienware alpha.

I can go all to the max using in game settings but if I wanna stream on the “veryfast” profile I had to turn some stuff down to get a solid 60.

I hope further optimization makes it easier to stream.
