When I run any single player mode (training, survival, story) with Match Request ON, my game will slow down. Like to the point where its not impossible to play, but obviously not at 60 FPS. Match Request OFF, and it runs smoothly.
I had a similar problem before where ANY single player mode would be around 48/52 FPS. Upgraded the processor to 8370 and the game runs smooth.
I never bothered looking into it the Match Request problem, but its starting to really get annoying when my only option to play Online is to wait forever while doing nothing until I get connected to someone.
Due to the way my apartment is set up my PC is running off a wi-fi connection, but I highly down that’s the reason why the game would slow down when using Match Request.
Lots of PC people with otherwise completely capable machines are experiencing a problem where the game runs in slow motion. It’s not dropping frames, it’s just moving like it’s in bullet-time.
It has something to do with the game not using your graphics card at all(like, the fan on the card doesn’t even kick in, because the game doesn’t even bother to use it). And it’s weird, cause some things in the game, like certain UI elements(for example your health bar) AREN’T slowed down.
Now, my machine isn’t amazing, but it does run other current, graphically intensive games without having this problem. And, as I said, lots of other people, with better systems than mine, are experiencing the same problem.
I haven’t heard anything about an update suddenly fixing the problem for those people, so until I do, and I still have the problem afterwards, I’m going to assume the problem is still on the game’s end before I go out and spend a bunch of money upgrading.
Hmm is it specific to AMD or Nvidia? My laptop has a Geforce GTX 880M. The game runs fine for me. I did run into a similar issue on the PC version of Valkyria Chronicles once but I was able to get the game recognize my GPU and it’s run fine since. I still have my old laptop. If I can get it to boot. I could see if the problem appears on Radeon 5870M.
I have a fairly shitty Nvidia card. But the thing runs games like Witcher 3 and Fallout 4 just fine. So the fact that a 1-on-1 fighting game, and the fact that lots of other people are having the problem too, leads me to believe that it’s the game that’s the problem.
Well, like I said, when other people stop having the problem, and I keep having it, I’ll worry about changing my card. But other people with better equipment than me are still having the problem.
There’s more to PC configuration than a video card. Look at what kind of MB they have, which Windows they are running, what’s their memory type and speed, what CPU they are running, are they over clocking… The list goes on and on.
What is certain is that 720 is choking every time you boot up SFV. Lol
