Since it’s been mentioned, has anyone seen a mod to replace bacgrounds in SFV? My laptop can pretty much only handle training mode, and this would help a lot.

Anyone been getting server disconnects?

I figured I should contribute my settings to this thread. Other than a nvidia driver problem a couple weeks ago things have been pretty smooth. I run max settings 2560x1440.

Can anyone tell me if this rig is good enough to run max settings (or close)?

This is about as much as I’m willing to spend.

You need at least a 960 for max settings. 950 will prob be mid-high.

How much does CPU factor in? Running it on G3258 and gtx 950 8gb ram. The PC was built for emulation but bought 950 over 750ti in case it can play sfv and no need to buy ps4.

What are your cooling options and do you think you can overclock it? If you can, you might be able to get by with it. Otherwise, looking at the benchmarks it seems that it bottlenecks pretty hard on lower requirement games, definitely consider an upgrade if you plan to continue gaming with the rig.

It will run medium or possibly higher. For reference, medium = PS4 quality and higher settings don’t make much of a visual difference (aside from that nasty motion blur). If you’re adamant about buying a pre-built PC, go for it.

You’d save quite a bit of cash if you built it yourself, though. Here’s an example build with all the same features/performance I was able to put together in 2 minutes: https://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/
Notably, the case is better. Many computer stores can even build it for you for a fee like $50 in which case it’d still be worth it if you don’t want to go through the trouble yourself. You are probably already aware of this but I thought I’d just let you know. One way to look at this is that you could get a much more beastly PC at $750 if you were to build it yourself.

You need to hit a minimum threshold in CPU performance but anything beyond that isn’t important for SFV. I feel like your CPU is enough when comparing to other CPU’s I’ve seen running the game. You always have the option of buying the game, testing out its performance, and Steam refunding it if it’s not up to your expectations. It’s an auto-refund if you’re under 2 hours played.

Thanks for your responses. I would build my own but I’ve never really gotten that deep into things. Would probably just screw it up. May learn some day.

Check this out. I would totally buy this in your situation.

This PC is a lot better than the one you’re planning to get.

sigh well, the game still runs in slow motion for me on medium settings. So either Capcom didn’t fix the problem, or it really is just my shitty video card.

Can anyone confirm steady 60fps with an FX-6300 CPU?

OK guys i dont know where else to ask this. Is there anyway of reassigning position reset to a different button on the PC version?

You could always just use the keyboard key.

Good idea! Witch button is it?

That I don’t know!

I think it’s Start + Select which you could set in xpadder to one button on your stick.

I have desktop with 980TI, but I usually travel alot for work. Therefore, I had to buy a higher end laptop with 970M on it. I was able to play SFV with everything high at 60fps. However, if any of my network card is on (wired/wireless), the game gives me a slow motion framerate on fighting, character select, even on menus. It goes even worst when fight request is on. There are no improvement at all even at lowest settings. Does anyone suffer from this?

How would you do this? I have fight commander 4, and using the joy2key to map the keyboard to my pad. But, how to turn on player 2 using PS3 controller?

Ditch Joy2Key, use this: https://github.com/Stents-/XOutput
The way the game maps controllers is: keyboard/Xinput-1 = P1 | Xinput 2=P2

Ask your laptop manufacturer’s tech support about why your network card would eat up so much of your CPU and/or GPU.

Anyone?
