PC Specs Thread - We're out of beta now

minimum req means you can play but not at optimal performance
recommended is optimal performance aka the way it should be played

From what I understand they updated the version of UE4 engine the game was running on between Beta 4 and retail. I confirmed this myself by cross checking Beta 4’s Engine files with the retail and saw they were different. The thing is a lot of people have issues (FPS Drops in particular) with UE4 games that running off certain versions and this is probably one of them.

At one point I tried a really dirty fix of copying the other beta 4 engine to the retail and the game actually started running fine, no 5 minute FPS drop etc but crash would crash after 1 round

No shit?

You can still run the game perfectly fine by lowering settings. It just won’t look as good. Which doesn’t affect anything.

Is there a laptop in the £500-£600 range that can handle this game at 1080p? Im in need of a laptop as it is.

Hey guys I just wanted to come back and report, I was able to figure out what it was. So while doing testing and everything I had a program that reported my cpu temp and it was stupid high at 104c. I had a resource monitor on and the heat was causing my cpu to underclock after about 2/3 minutes and drop to 1ghz or so. I went to the store yesterday gave it a good deep cleaning and reseated my heat sink. It still runs a bit hot but it’s stable now and I was able to play all day yesterday stable 60 fps 1080p medium settings. I just ordered an aftermarket heatsink that will be here monday.

I want to thank all of you because I don’t know how long it’s been running like this, I don’t game too often so I never really noticed any performance issues just browsing the web, and watching streams. If you guys hadn’t told me to try all those things I wouldn’t have had that program running and my cpu would have eventually burnt to a crisp.

Guys using Nvidia cards and having issues make sure shit like multi-display is on single display performance and power management mode on prefer maximum performance and also max pre-rendered frames to 1 in the manage 3D settings options.

Try this. Prices shown are in USD though.

Will this do it? https://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/m/p/1856748

Also another question, got a PC built for emukatuon, G3258, 8gb ram and gtx 950. Plays sfv fine but how do you change settings to see if it can improve? Everything is running on stock settings (CPU speed, ram and gfx card)

I though of something is your ram running on dual channel? if you have 4 slots your ram should be inserted in 1&3 or 2&4. Any other combination will make your ram run half speed

I have 2x4gb.

I was told dual channel was the opposite. So it should be in slots 1 & 2? That’s what I have right now.

On my motherboard it goes:
A1
A2
B1
B2

I have my ram in slots A1/A2.
Here is my pic of my board

You mean the game’s settings? Just go to options, then graphics, then custom or something like that.

And yeah, that laptop should run the game fine at medium settings 1080p.

No, look at the arrow on the diagram it say you should use a1 & b1 or a2 & b2. If you have only 2 rams the recommended position is a2 & b2

i swear to god if the patch that’s coming up is only to fix the rage quitters and nothing else i’m going to put my tes***les in a blender and turn it to max!!! I hope they at least try to fix a multitude of things, that’s all i want

running the game on thislaptop.

Intel i5-2410M
Nvidia Geforce GT 540M
6GB RAM

I can run at a soft 60fps with overclocking, but after 10-20mins falls to 40-50fps.
I’m running in windows vista compatibility mode and disabled all my unused internet adapters.
I tried the double monitor solution, but whenever I try to switch the monitor I can’t see my main screen anymore.

Can anyone confirm if sli is supported it feels like it’s not ?

Have corrected my ram. Don’t see any difference to performance.

now that your running it dual channel you should see small bump in performance. If you can’t run the game on 1280x720 on low, I’m almost 100% sure you are only using intel HD graphics and not GTX 960.

Is it worth paying a bit more for the 960m over the 950m?

If you want to play 60fps high settings
Yes

It’s always worth paying a bit more money, if need be wait and save up a little it will be worth it and you will thank your self for it

Someone said something about an upcoming patch? Anyone know when?
