How do you figure that? Not saying you’re wrong. But there isn’t much going on, there’s no AI for the game to be handling, no complex calculations happening the background like with a Civ game, not a lot of particles/fancy visual effects… it’s just what you see on the screen and not much else.
Nazgul: if you get i5 you might need to upgrade your ram anyway so start with 8GB ddr3 2133 or higher with low CL it can improve your cpu performance by +10%.
Because you have a 960 which other players here have. They are running the game at 60FPS no problems. The one thing thats different is the arent using a laptop CPU that you have in a i3.
However, its well known when a game is CPU bound or GPU bound. For example, all MMOs are CPU bound.
I’m below the minimum requirement. Minimum is a i3 4160, I’m running a 4130. 200mhz difference.
I’d accept that I can’t just run the game, but other people in this thread who have very similar, or sometimes lesser machines are running the games with no problems.
Between downloading the latest drivers, and optimising settings for key games (SFV is on the list), it helped me.
Out of the box, the game ran really slow, but after running this, things smoothed out.
Again people are running the game on old ass E8500 and 4 series GTX card and are able to run the game on medium settings at 60fps 1080p without issues. The problem is not your hardware being insufficient the game itself having compatibility issues with memory leaks, Nvidia cards, OS’s with random configs.
Did the game work fine for you at all during the Betas? If it did and you’re getting the CPU just for this game, I’d hold off. Capcom has announced a upcoming patch, it might solve issues currently in the game.
Yeah, seems in their rush to get this out, they didn’t exactly optimize it that well (that said, they did at least avoid having Arkham Knight-tier issues).
Yeah, if a patch is on the way, I’d see what that one does before upgrading anything. Nvidia already released their own fix to help compensate for some people’s issues with the game.
…Who the heck was in charge of Capcom’s dev team between the beta and this release? I find it insane that those who ran the beta perfectly are having issues up and down. Somewhere in the dev process got screwed up in the most nasty of ways.
