Right now, i’ve spend more time playing SF5 on these 2 days than SF4 [and updates] since its release date. For me, this game is so much better than SF4 hands down.
Most likely yes. You have to keep in mind that games running on both ps4 and pc this gen will be heavily multithreaded, since the lowest common denominator, the PS4, has 8 cores.
Im running a quad core witch can keep up because of higher performance per core, but having only 2 cores is cutting it a bit close.
That said, your gpu driver runs on your cpu, so Nvidia optimizing might save you some performance.
What socket is your mobo? Maybe you can upgrade to an i5 at some point…
SFV is much more fundamentally solid, straight down to the core mechanics. Not really sure how the combo system isn’t as developed either? V-Trigger allows for the same type of long and flashy FADC combos that were present in SFIV. The thing is though, each character has a different V-Trigger. On that merit alone I would argue that the combo system is much more creative and unique, and more fun as a result. Most of the V-Triggers are really cool and offer a ton of potential for each character.
So yeah. I’m not really sure how anyone can seriously think this game is worse than SFIV unless they only like fighting games for xxxmlgxxx 45 hit combos. The only issue so far is the lack of real diversity in the cast, but that’s going to diminish as each month passes and new characters get released. SFV is already pretty damn great from a competitive perspective and it’s only going to get better from here. Onwards and upwards as they say.
The game runs flawless 90 percent of the time. There was one stretch where no matter what match I was in, the framerate was at a crawl for about 5 seconds. I just restarted and it went away.
Now the only problems I run into is slow loading character portraits at the vs screen before a match and some slow down from a CA every once in a while. On this damn Samsung SSD game literally loads in 2 seconds.
In the beta my fps was a consistant 60 fps, with some graphics settings tweaks, but with this edition i’m dropping down to 20-30 at random points and it does not come back up till i restart the game. once i do start the game and i get a match in my fps is 60 but it just drops down dramatically. any tips? and i have updated my graphics card btw
So ive noticed another problem with the game… dunno if this is the same for anyone else but for some reason my game runs better when its in full screen mode… Like I can actually almost max out al lmy settings on full screen mode no lag what so ever… but even if i turn the game to low and shit, if I try to just play the game in window, no dice what so ever.
I AM HAVING the exact same issue! In the beta i was getting 60 fps consistantly but now it drops down to 20-30 fps out of no where
If you find a fix PLEASE please let me know. I’m trying to prepare for a tournament in may! and i need practice -_-

Aside from that, SFV is broke af. Cannot invite people to Battle Lounge, and the worst part is that it is a 2 people battle lounge WTF?
