PC Specs Thread - We're out of beta now

most of the SF3 heads would be ok with that, considering their dislike of any SF that came out this millennium.

Right now, i’ve spend more time playing SF5 on these 2 days than SF4 [and updates] since its release date. For me, this game is so much better than SF4 hands down.

SFV came out this millennial and most SF3 fans seem to like it just fine.

You guys remember when SF4 came out people were saying space control was weak as Sagat dominated with fireballs and uppercuts?

You guys remember when SF4 came out and everyone was saying Zangief’s command grab was too slow?

Remember that? The criticisms against SFV are EXACTLY THE SAME as the ones once thrown at SF4.

Most likely yes. You have to keep in mind that games running on both ps4 and pc this gen will be heavily multithreaded, since the lowest common denominator, the PS4, has 8 cores.
Im running a quad core witch can keep up because of higher performance per core, but having only 2 cores is cutting it a bit close.

That said, your gpu driver runs on your cpu, so Nvidia optimizing might save you some performance.
What socket is your mobo? Maybe you can upgrade to an i5 at some point…

Those league points not rolling in like you like and the game is a joke already huh lol. The salt is real in sf5

SFV is much more fundamentally solid, straight down to the core mechanics. Not really sure how the combo system isn’t as developed either? V-Trigger allows for the same type of long and flashy FADC combos that were present in SFIV. The thing is though, each character has a different V-Trigger. On that merit alone I would argue that the combo system is much more creative and unique, and more fun as a result. Most of the V-Triggers are really cool and offer a ton of potential for each character.

So yeah. I’m not really sure how anyone can seriously think this game is worse than SFIV unless they only like fighting games for xxxmlgxxx 45 hit combos. The only issue so far is the lack of real diversity in the cast, but that’s going to diminish as each month passes and new characters get released. SFV is already pretty damn great from a competitive perspective and it’s only going to get better from here. Onwards and upwards as they say.

Alpha 2 for life.
SFV needs to give everyone a walkspeed buff. If that happens, I’ll let the game have my babies.

It’s funny how USF4 had a working lobby system ***and ***shorter downtime between matches with its matchmaking Fight Request feature.

Yeah and it’s hilarious how once you got into matches your inputs were all delayed to shit.

That makes sense. It’s 1150, so I can upgrade to an i5 4690k. Thinking about popping into Microcenter this weekend and grabbing one for $199.

i5 6500
GTX 760
8 gigs DDr4

The game runs flawless 90 percent of the time. There was one stretch where no matter what match I was in, the framerate was at a crawl for about 5 seconds. I just restarted and it went away.

Now the only problems I run into is slow loading character portraits at the vs screen before a match and some slow down from a CA every once in a while. On this damn Samsung SSD game literally loads in 2 seconds.

Yeah and its amazing that game was in development for a decade and this game just came out less than a week ago

merging

In the beta my fps was a consistant 60 fps, with some graphics settings tweaks, but with this edition i’m dropping down to 20-30 at random points and it does not come back up till i restart the game. once i do start the game and i get a match in my fps is 60 but it just drops down dramatically. any tips? and i have updated my graphics card btw

I think you may have something set up wrong.

I’m running a similar system–i5-6600k, 16gigs RAM, gtx 970–and I’m running 60 fps with maxed out settings.

someone mentioned clearing up hd space fixed this. I have no idea how or why.

So ive noticed another problem with the game… dunno if this is the same for anyone else but for some reason my game runs better when its in full screen mode… Like I can actually almost max out al lmy settings on full screen mode no lag what so ever… but even if i turn the game to low and shit, if I try to just play the game in window, no dice what so ever.

I AM HAVING the exact same issue! In the beta i was getting 60 fps consistantly but now it drops down to 20-30 fps out of no where
If you find a fix PLEASE please let me know. I’m trying to prepare for a tournament in may! and i need practice -_-

Apple Mac Pro 5,1 (Mid-2010) Eight Core

No graphical issues WHEN LAUNCHED AS “LOW SPEC MODE” then change graphic setting to Max (If already set, setting will adjust as soon as you go in graphic setting)

Aside from that, SFV is broke af. Cannot invite people to Battle Lounge, and the worst part is that it is a 2 people battle lounge WTF?
