So disappointed.
I had a GTX750 on a Windows 10 Home
Intel® Core™ i5-6500 with 8GB Ram.
After playing the beta I decided to upgrade to a gtx970 and to add +8Gb as bonus to enjoy the game at max setting.
The beta was running perfectly on highest setting and I was looking forward to enjoy the game after the release.
But now the game have very big slowdown and I have to go back almost to the setting I used with my gtx750.
It’s so salty.
Trying to uninstall things and stuff…
Does the game take full advantage of 4 cores? That’s the only thing I can think of that’s hurting me at this point. The game runs about the same regardless of what settings I use, it’s 60fps if I’m standing still, but as soon as things start happening it drops as low as 45. I have a 970, so the GPU is not the bottleneck here, especially considering it’s not drastically different even at 720p/low vs 1080p/max.
My CPU is a g3258 oc’d to 4.5 ghz, which if the game is using 2 or fewer threads, should give me identical performance to an i5 at the same clock speed, but I do see my CPU getting pegged in task manager.
I’ve tried basically everything to make the game playable. Changing settings, inis, quitting absolutely every other app, reinstalling drivers, etc. I’m about to give up and see if a future patch can solve this issue.
GPU is not a problem for the game since the 750ti can run it 60fps
It’s more CPU intensive than GPU
i5 4690k
24gb
gtx 970
running everything maxed constant 60fps in 1440p with 1 frame drop rarely
there are vids of i3s and 750ti running game 55-60fps
did you try updating your driver?
theres a new NVidia driver for the game
close/uninstall GeForce experience
how much RAM do you have?
8gb is a must for this game
I don’t know the definite answer to that, but I can tell you the gtx 970 is more than capable of running this game
you have 8gb
the only thing left is the CPU
We should wait a little bit before making quick judgements about the game. There might be new tech that people still haven’t figured out that will make it more fun.
ya’ll act like when SFIV came out, 3s and ST players weren’t saying “this shit’s Street Fighter EX 4. Game’s gonna die quick…”
A lot of this shit takes time to develop. The reason most fighting games die quickly is nobody has the patience to wait it out for the first year or so for people to figure shit out. The final release is less than a week old, give it a second.
