PC Specs Thread - We're out of beta now

There’s something wrong here.

My setup:
G3258 OC’d to 4.5ghz
GTX 970
Win 8.1

I updated to the new game ready drivers yesterday.

When I did “automatic settings” it maxed out everything. But the game runs in slow motion. I’ve tried every combination of setting, and with mostly low, even in training mode on the Grid stage, I still get a lot of slow downs.

No idea what’s happening here.

2500k at 4.2 ghz
750ti

Med shadows and textures, low everything else

60fps except for character select (???) which drops a bit.

Old ass drivers, I don’t trust nvidia’s newest drivers to not prompt me to upgrade.

I wanted to try running the street fighter V .exe with right click -> run with Nvidia GPU. But whenever I try to launch the game from the .exe file, the game just won’t start, I just get a black window.

The game will only launch from inside steam, by clicking “play”. Does anyone know what exactly steam is doing when you click “play”? Why is it different from running the exe? Is there a way of forcing steam to always run games with the Nvidia GPU?

You can force it for any other game, just by applying the same method to their .exe file. SF5’s is bugged and it refuses to launch the game with the Nvidia GPU.

Guide on how to disable motion blur on max settings.

Got the same problem even though i played it with notebook gfx 860m during the beta everythin runned smooth but upon release it turned into slowmotion. Is there a difference with the graphic settings during the beta and released version?

If you’re still playing on a laptop, I’ve seen a bunch of people complaining that the game is using the integrated gpu instead of the dedicated one. Seems like that might also be the case on my desktop, too.

Wondering if I should try rolling back the nvidia drivers.

Hi, I read a review that SFV can run with 4GB RAM and an old 8500 GeForce if you select the “Low Spec Mode” is that true? can someone confirme this?

Ok guys, I found a hack to get around the optimus problem:

http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2223176

After I do this the game runs fine. The only annoyance is that for some reason I lose the option to run at 1920x1080p… it just doesn’t appear anymore in the list. If anyone can get around that issue let me know. But anyway, I can at least play the game now until Capcom/Nvidia gets their shit together.

yes even i think that but i had same prblem last year with bioshock and the nvidia drivers i eventually rolled back to older driver, guess the fucking what it runned like semen. imo gonna give it a shot

Running a laptop from 2012
i7-3610qm, 2.3ghz
GT 650m (updated drivers)
8gb Ram

Runs at 60fps, low settings at 1920x1080
Runs at 60fps, med settings at 1280x720

Looks terrible, but works fine

W10 64-Bit December 15’ Revision
AMD FX-8370
16 GB DDR3 RAM (668 MHz)
2GB GTX 950 (For extra monitor)
4GB 980 Ti (For game monitor)
Runs off an SSD

Runs on Ultramax 1920x1080 with 58~60FPs. Drops frames when stage effects like bats appear.

Just curious…why do you need 2 gpus for 2 monitors? That 980ti def has more than one output port, right? >_>

Yeah, I’m having similar problems.

If I don’t set the graphics options to low, the game runs in slow motion. Which is weird, cause my computer ran Shadow of Mordor completely fine. And that’s a fairly graphically intensive game.

The slowmo was actually kinda fun in single player. It’s like having infinite bullettime.

I5-3570K oc’d to 4.2ghz
6gb 980ti
Win10

Game runs great at 4k (mostly medium settings, high textures and particles)…but when it says someone wins at the end of the match while the text is up, the game goes down to like 25-30fps lol. Went to 1440p, it’s better when that happens but still drops frames when the win screen comes up. Kind of ridiculous since the text is (I believe) the same as any other text in this game.

Its normal for the framerate to drop in between rounds etc, dont worry about it. It even happens at 1080p.
Gameplay is rocksolid for me at 1440p.

Can’t believe my old as hell PC can run this game at stable 60fps (low and medium) on low-spec mode.

Core 2 Duo E8400
4GB DDR2
Radeon HD 7750
Win 10 64-bit Home

Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 960T @ 3.00 GHZ
RAM: 8GB DDR3 @ 1333 MHZ
GPU: ATI Radeon R7 240 - 2048MB DDR3
Two monitors hooked up - one through HDMI (actually a TV), one through DVI (Main monitor)
OS: Win 10

I can run the game in low spec mode @ 60fps no problems. It’s just ugly as heck.

Game slows down to 50fps when fight request is turned on for some reason. Game runs at 60fps when playing online.

Edit:

I wouldn’t recommend running this game on a system with lower specs than this. My system is probably as close to barebones as possible while maintaining 60fps.

If you upgrade that R7 240 you should see massive improvements.

hrmm well my cpu is supposedly better than yours but im having problems when i go to anything but training mode randomly… have you tried fiddling around in a stage like karins for a few mins with kens v trigger on? does it still go well?
