PC Specs Thread - We're out of beta now

Mine has a slowdown in windowed mode.

I have a hunch we will continue to see optimizations, and many people’s issues will go away. To me, this game feels like early access.

Had occasional drops to 50 fps on Kanzuki stage with Ken’s VT on. I play at 1024x768 windowed mode, set high priority to all three SFV processes.
I also replaced the stock CPU cooler with a Hyper 101 + some unknown paste.

From my experience when you change from Full Screen to Windowed, you have to restart the game to see its effects.

Yeah, from video I’ve seen, if you make any graphical changes, to be on safe side, once you get graphics and resolution or window or whatever to how you want it, close and restart the program.

Everything runs better in full screen mode vs windowed mode.

SFV already is better than the entire SFIV series to me. Its just no comparison.

i7 920 2.66ghz
6gb ram
nvidia gtx760 2gb
windows 7 x64

runs 60fps rocksolid on max settings at 1440p (even 1080p if i switch at my tv)

Update for me. The servers were offline for a bit so i was in training mode for about 30 minutes with no fps drop what so ever. as soon as i went online and tried a ranked match my fps dropped dramatically. And it’s def not lag it’s this online mode

Same here. Seems like being online actually has an effect on your fps.

Finally got into a couple of matches, got spanked while bumbling around with R. Mika. Anyways, I’ve been running the game at Max on 1080p with no in match framerate problems beyond the occasional 1 fps hiccup. Using a FX 8350, GTX 970, 16 gigs of DDR3 1833 ram on Windows 10.

I feel as if the hiccups happen because of faulty coding, everyone gets those. Guarantee they fix that in a patch.

I think it might be interesting to share that I not only want to run the game, I want to run the game while providing an HD stream to my viewers (I have the bandwidth don’t start).

Now with no stream I can run the game max (motion blur manually disabled, that stuff is just dizzifying) with that occasional hiccup/slowdown during KO and intros and my CPU reaches about 40%-50%ish.

With it on (OBS, 1080p @60fps scene downscaled to 720p @60fps scene @3500kbps-video 128-audio profile-very fast) I have to turn effects down to high and I only get some lag if 2 Necallis activate super saiyan on China and one of them lands a super.

Specs:
Operating System: Windows 10 Enterprise N
Processor/CPU: i7 2700K
Video Card/GPU: MSI GTX 680
Memory/RAM: 16 GIG (2x8)

Then what do you do in Training mode? Honest question.

Practice special/Critical attacks/V Skills/V Triggers
Set up situations for hit confirms
Practice defensive situations

At least that’s what I tend to do…

If I want to use another character…I use training room to get familiar with said character.

Ok I finally found a total solution to get the game to run off the GPU not the Intel HD

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\StreetFighterV\StreetFighterV\Binaries\Win64
(or where you game library is installed on your computer)

Right click properties.
Click the compatibility tab.
Check Run in Compatibility mode for Windows 7
Check Run as Admin.
Click Ok or Apply.

When you run the game now your nVidia card should now be being used.

Your friend abusing a move you didn’t know what to do against? Record their character doing that movie and practice your counter abilities against it. Counter hit set-ups are big in this game, how solid are yours? What moves are punishable and what aren’t, do you know? What’s your best air-to-air combo possibility? In a specific context, what can your V-Trigger do here? Could you a get bigger punish here depending on your super meter, V-Trigger, distance from your opponent?

Honestly, training mode is only as limited as your imagination. Its not just repeating BnBs that you don’t even know how to land in game.

ill body you in primal rage

AMD Phenom X4 965 3,4 GHz
4 GB Ram
Nv Geforce GTS 450
Win10 64-bit

Runs alright on low specs.
I obviously need more ram but I’m wondering if I can get around upgrading anything else because I’m to broke for a new Card and processor. Any recommendations?

More ram isnt gonna help you. That GPU has to go.

Not sure what your motherboard can support it or not but a 750ti would be your cheapest and best bet.

This workaround works for a limited amount of time. In my case this is about 5-10 minutes.

AMD A8-3870 3GHz
8GB RAM
GeForce GTX 960 (recently upgraded from 770)
Win 10 64bit

I find I can play on 1080p max settings fine, before upgrading the GPU I could play on medium settings.

Question to anyone who does any recording, what program do you use? I find Fraps causes considerable slow down in 1080 and I’m forced to drop the resolution to compensate.
