Does it matter? Beta ran perfectly for me on an AMD card, at least as far as I could tell.
I can’t get the final version of the game to not run like shit even at the lowest res. Updated graphics driver and it’s still moving horribly. Anyone encountered this or something similar?
Specs:
i7 4700HQ
16gb ram
GTx 765m
YES Final game runs like shit on lowest of low settings, windowed, low res. (DLing driver updates now to test)
Beta ran fine full screen with medium settings. This is like a 20x difference in processing requirement! What gives?!
i7 4700mq
8gb Ram
GTX 765m
Similar to yours… Gotta be something specific to the 765?
It’s almost like it’s a specific 3d thing going on… menus run fine, it’s as soon as there’s a 3d character on screen that it slows to a crawl, gotta be something in it. A setting deep in the backend?
game runs fine for me with same specs
msi laptop

optimized settings in geforce experience and 85 resolution scaling 60fps constant
i did download latest driver
i7 4790k
Sapphire R9 290x

3200x1800 high settings runs 60 fps most of the time but drops when Critical Art finishes on screen.
I noted according to GPU-Z the game is running off the interal graphics card instead of the actual GTX card despite me setting the 765m to be the default card for gaming in the Nvidia control panel. The same this is probably happening to you. Anyone know of a way to force an app to run with the graphics card outside of Nvidia controls.
So weird. ;_;
r9 290 - 2600k - stock - win10 64bit
MAX settings. 60fps 100%
hmm in NVIDIA control panel, SFV doesn’t show up in the list of installed games to select processor under ‘manage 3d settings’. Manually finding the EXE, shows that the auto select is selecting integrated graphics. Changing it doesn’t seem to save though…
sf5 is no fun, everyone is getting steamrolled lmao
dunno where i should put this but ok i downloaded the game, but where the fuck do i switch my buttons, adn what are the controls period… it doesnt seem to be recoginzing my controlers, but ive used them for GGPO and everything else… im stuck in this demo shit and I cant even press start to get out lol
Update: have updated all software, NVIDIA control panel now shows and saves SFV exe and stays switched to Nvidia GPU in settings.
Running the game still runs off integrated gpu, no matter what the fuck i do!!!
What the hell is going on, just wanna play

i haven’t seen any dropped frames yet with everything on max - steam fps counter is always 59-61.
anyone have any idea what the most punishing stage/effects are for benchmarking purposes?
Anyone on PC running a CrossFire / SLI setup at the moment? I am getting some WEIRD stuff happening in my game.
Back when I was testing this on Beta Release, I only had a single Radeon R9 390X and it worked just fine. Ever since I added a second R9 390X into my system, things have gone all wonky.
- Character textures would flicker uncontrollably under certain lighting on stages
- Intermittent lag spikes on Max Settings
- On Low Settings, even the Menu lags and fights are essentially unplayable
- Random speed fluctuations when running on Windowed Mode under lower resolutions
I ran the game with my latest AMD Catalyst Crimson driver version open and noticed that the graphics card’s activity jumps from 0% to 60% (Sometimes 100%) and then drops back down to 0% again erratically.
I feel like the game itself needs a hot-fix for dual cards of some sort or AMD needs to release new drivers profiles for SFV.
Anyone else having these issues?
My System:
Intel Core i7 2600K @ 3.40 GHz
16 GB RAM
Radeon R9 390X (x2) in CrossFire
Windows 7 64-Bit
My Settings (When it still worked on Beta with one graphics card):
Everything maxed, except Anti-Aliasing which I set to low
i5 2500k OC’d @ 4.4 ghz
8 gb RAM
Gigabyte 970 mini
Beasting the fuck outta this game on max even while streaming.
Im having the same problem as all you guys that the game is running like utter shit even though the beta ran fine. Ive got an I7 and a GTX 970M.
I tried setting the game to run off the Nvidia GPU… how can I tell what GPU it actually runs off of?
Hrmmm well trying the game out a bit, and it seems to run great, but then certain stages when with certain V triggers like Ken destroy the game and it becomes unplayable… -_- not just skipping a bit like probably moving at 10 frames a second if that…
Okay, so I did some further testing and it pretty much confirms it. The game needs to add some kind of CrossFire support in there because the second I went into my AMD Catalyst software and disabled CrossFire on my PC, SFV ran amazing and silky smooth at MAX settings… Now I just need to wait for the servers to stop kicking me off every time I try to do something in Story or Survival Mode…
Still though, you’d think with more GPU power, the game would run better, not worse. I really hope they resolve this problem soon. I have other games on my PC that utilize CrossFire and it’ll be annoying to have to enable / disable it every time I want to play SFV.
Ran it easily at 60fps on 1080p, all on medium and max resolution scaling during the beta phase. Today, I’m getting a slow motion, as if I screwed up the emulation configuration for some poorly supported PS2 game.
Since you always have to be online(?), does that mean the servers might actually affect your game even while in training mode?
