Just to provide more info on the less standard resolutions; i7 3770, GTX 980 runs a perfect 60 on 1440p, max settings.

Well I tried running it on a GTX 750 TI with the offline beta and I still get the same list of ‘unknown function’ that I got before. I should be able to run it with at least minimum settings but I can’t even open the client. My processor runs 3.8 GHZ too so I’m not sure what to do now

Did anyone here have issues running in windowed mode? I have a pretty slick gaming laptop (4th Gen 8 thread i7 and 780GTX) and Full Screen was fine but windowed mode ran like ass.

It could be something up with the ‘offline beta’. Does the real beta load to the point of giving a 2100b, c, d, or e error?

One thing I noticed in windowed was it wasnt an actual window that I could move around…

…it just cropped to the top left of my screen, I wish I knew how to make it an actual window I could position on screen.

Other than that it was a little slower but nothing major. GTX 960 in an older computer.

Anyone know how to make it a WINDOW I can move?

Running in anything but exclusive fullscreen is extra lag in Windows unless you’re on 7 and shut Aero off, even then I’m not sure.

Actually I know why. They want easier access to resume torrents when they are losing.

Nope, this is a problem I’ve had since I tried the 3rd official beta. The client always instantly crashed and couldn’t even get to the title screen.

I want windowed so I can record stuff but it’s laughably laggy for some reason.

But anyway, why not? I don’t play 3s, ST or A3 on PC fullscreen either. Nobody afaik does.

Couple things-

  1. Capturing/rendering video is going to affect your FPS etc very heavily on most setups. It is almost like running two games at once. You may not lose frames if you’re running FBA etc, but if the game is CPU/GPU-intensive, you’re going to notice the hit.
  2. FYI “Game Capture” with OBS seems to reduce processing issues, as compared to “window capture” or “monitor capture”.

Looks like it may be trying to read files from disk or memory but it cant, how much vram on your card and system ram do you have?

12GB of RAM and I just got a new card with 2GB of vram. I just hope it’s because of my shitty processor, that’s easy enough to fix

The thing is what I’m experiencing isn’t a couple dropped frames in window mode. It’s like literally molasses, 5 frames per second slow. Full screen I can run 1080p smooth, but turn to windowed and it turns to shit even at lower res. Doesn’t happen with any other PC game I run windowed. It’s weird, but oh well.

Those ram numbers and I’m assuming card should be fine, if it’s only this game you may want to try a reinstall. The name of the processor could help as well.

It’s an AMD A4-7300 and I’ve tried reinstalling twice
