PC Specs Thread - We're out of beta now

I have no experience with the crack so I can’t compare settings or anything, if there is another beta and you still have issues post to remind us so we can try and help you out.

A4 is like the bottom of the barrel when it comes to APU. I really dont think thats enough CPU to run the game regardless of how much RAM you add.

Yeah that’s a reallllllly low processor.

Using http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/cpu-hierarchy,4312.html as a reference, there’s 13 tiers, with the top 5-6 still being viable as told in that article. Your processor is way down below.

But the question is still if the processor could be causing that kind of error. But I’m getting a better one soon, so I guess we’ll find out

Absolutely, if the CPU cant handle what you are throwing at it. It could cause it to crash. That A4 is having a heart attack and stroke at the same time every time you boot that beta. lol

I’d say it’s possible, you can watch the CPU on task manager to see if it is maxing out when you start up the game. The processor may not be reading the data files(processing) fast enough.

To give you an idea, my proc is old, from 2010 athlon ii 4 core and its common benchmark number is around 3400 to 2200 for yours so it is quite slow.

Even if you got it to start, there likely would be more problems.

For those with shitty video cards im trying to test some stages without npcs ( waterfall removed on this picture) and etc to see if there is a better performance.

If it works Ill do a compilation after the official game is released. ( have to see if capcom makes some changes and the method doesnt work)

I’m PC novice, would an SSD do anything for me? Help load times maybe?

Your computer should be able to run this game fine, your graphics card and ram are more then enough, are you having issues? You should be easily maxing this game out.

It was mostly load times getting on my nerves. I guess it could have been my opponent as well… That being said, I’m not sure if i had anything running in the background.

Even if an SSD would help with SF5, if your opponent didn’t also have an SSD you would be back to square one- both players are going to have to start the match at the same time.

But I would guess the time connecting to the opponent is a network thing, and not a matter of regular disk load times.

between the PC to PS4 there was noticable lag between character select and when the actually match started, I counted 40 seconds on some stages staring at a white screen. On PC to PC or PS4 to PS4 it was never that bad. Maybe that was the load times you were noticing? Did you check and see if they were ps4 or PC users?

I have a SSD. The only long loading times I had were against PS4 users. PC users were a lot zippier. There were a bunch of times–probably due to them also having a SSD–it when from the vs screen to the match basically instantly.

Hmm, it could be anything. I’ll hold off before spending the money. Thanks guys

The new processor did the trick, I can actually launch and play the game now, now I just need to get it to run smoothly. So far when having it at minimum settings it’s still running a little slow during actual gameplay (Again, I’m just testing it with the cracked beta right now itself could be the source of some minor problems as well) But it’s kinda strange, while it does feel like I was playing on a yellow bar connection, there’s no noticeable slowdown during super animations.

I think you should stop playing the performance vs dollars game. The beta is a clear indication of what you will need for the final release. If you are having issues now i would say Im 99% certain the official release will give you issues as well. I have the beta playing on my PC at max settings 1080p/60FPS.

I told you that A4 was the problem. If you need help in upgrading your rig be able to run the game with no problem just ask. Let me know what your budget is and ill be glad to get you there.

I think PS4 users all ought to go out an upgrade their “rig” with a SSD.

Its not cost effective. The bonuses you get from a SSD on PC doesnt translate to PS4. With games being 50GB+ in sizes you would seriously be gimping yourself. You are much better off with a Hybrid.

PS4 is just not designed to take advantage of faster drives.

I appreciate your willingness to help, so thank you.

Here’s where I’m at right now

Wow, really glad I didn’t get a PS4 then. SSDs are amazing.
