Indeed, and you are right to a degree. However I’ll just ask you, since I don’t want to assume; have you read what’s been going on in this thread? Or have you seen the tech videos in the playlist? Or what about the collab? Just wanted to make sure since this sorta statement seems to happen alot

Well to set things straight, preface if you will, take it from me that Pandora, whilst being something that not everyone would warm up to immediately is incredibly useful. It’s not really like a TAC infinite, beyond the conditional and difficult to execute part, it’s much more of a smart man’s comeback mechanic. Trust me, all you have to know is to well, know I guess. As long as you know what to do in a tight situation, where to implement Pandora and how to use it to its fullest potential then you’ll realize that it’s a central mechanic to the game that pretty much everyone should consider. Especially since it has the potential to be a meta game changer, and trust me you’d be surprised the amount of effective uses of Pandora that have occured, in fact since a couple of weeks ago I’d say I at least see or hear about Pandora uses everyday. It may have been an underused and under utilized mechanic for so long, but just like with gems people are warming up to it and are doing some great things with it. All of what I’ve said can easily be seen through the collab video, which shouldn’t be too hard to find on this thread, as well as looking at the several tech videos.

I’m just saying they’re the same in that they’re both potentially strong things that people don’t really care about doing as a whole. There’s people that do them but the majority of players still opt out of it etc.
Do you need the level 2 Pandora gem to really get this going or is it pretty good with regular or no gems?
Depends on whether the character will need it, or what you’ll do with it. It’s good on its own, with gems and with extend gem =] Yeah the majority of players don’t utilize it yet, but i believe that will change. Once again, I urge you to watch the collab and read the thread

It depends, as Justice said. Without the L2 gems, what you’ll likely be looking to use it for is situations where you could do something that wouldn’t be normally possible. Like the AA example, in that situation I had to eat the mixup because Cammy’s DP will actually trade with Hugo’s splash at certain parts. I believe if done deep enough it may not, but it’s a crazy risk with the life I had. I also didn’t have the full meter needed to do CA into Julia’s super either.
In that case, even though I didn’t need the extra damage, Pandora helped in that it got me out of the mixup and gave me a free punish (due to the teleport) with Julia.
If you’re thinking of using it in punish or combo situations to enable sort of a “if this happens I’ll be prepared” sort of deal, I don’t think you have to have the L2 Pandora gem. In fact on a lot of my mixed sets I don’t have a Pandora gem - just a power one that activates when using super is enough, as it’s still useful outside of Pandora too, but good enough that if say, Law is called upon by me to perform a super in a Pandora setup, he can take at least half-life on his own.
Yoshimitsu is so easy to get in pandora super with <3. Only requirements is a partner with a bound move.
I did a little combo vid just now to show some of the Law/Yoshi pandora combos.
This was mostly to show how it can be done in simple combos. with both Yoshi and Law on point pretty easy.
Notice meter usage. I user meter usage reduction gem on Yoshi. Normaly I have both 20% dmg on super gem and 30% dmg in pandora gem on yoshi, but I don’t got the super one on PC.

There is a lot more possibilities but these is the easiest with most damage.

The Pandora Combo I made up
Put Immense Power Lv. 2 and Lv. 3 (No. 22 and No. 24 gems) on Kuma and that stuff should do even more =] Look pretty ridiculous since it’s Kuma’s super but certainly a smart combo to do with those two. With your permission I might add this to the playlist (which has several other Pandora videos). Although I should point out that I think you had training mode meter refill on, so the super at the end might not work, though perhaps it might considering the timing. To eliminate that being a possibility, try adding No. 245 gem (I think) it’s a Pandora meter gem that reduces the cost of meter usage. For future reference you should leave the meter on ‘max start’ setting so you know your Pandora combo is legit =] That aside, good job
The combo is legit, I tested it out already
Since once you activate Pandora, all your bar builds up to a max amount
and pretty much this is 3 bars total for the pandora part of the combo
So it’s legit
and you can use it on the playlist

I never knew a jump cancel could be cancelled into Pandora. It’s on page one of this thread but I never knew… Then I started thinking about possibilities with Cammy and/or Juri. Cammy/Juri was my first SfXTk team. Having a lot of fun dusting them off.
Anyway… I thought I figured out something new. Turns out it has already been discovered and posted in the Cammy combo thread. Still good Pandora tech.
