Haha, oh no don’t get me wrong you’re absolutely right, I was just kidding. Most characters get 700 damage raw with one or two power gems. It’s my boy Kazuya that does 900 in one of his raw Pandora combos, and it can be either off of a jump H or a standing H. => I’ve done that combo in quite a few of my vids perhaps you haven’t seen it, haha. That’s what I was referring to, i had assumed you’d seen it that’s why.
Last night I played some matches and used Pandora a few times. Upon rewatching the replays today I realized that a throw can do almost as much damage as a big combo. And since people either run away or turtle in Pandora throwing is very important. Never occurred to me until now.
Cammy’s throw does 130 damage as do most throws. With Pandora and the Pandora damage gem that becomes 190. Two throws is 380. That’s more than any super! And about 40% life for most characters. Her airthrow does 140 normally. That’s 210 in Pandora with Pandora damage gem.
Zangief can even do 365 damage with a single EX throw. That’s 730 damage you can do without the Pandora extend gem. Cole doesn’t even have 700 life…For Ken 730 is 2/3 of his life.
I had completely ruled out throws in Pandora and focused on combos. Not any more. Especially with rolls being nerfed in ver. 2013.

Yeah, I actually had this happen earlier. My opponent had activated Pandora, then I Pandora’d Alisa, and tried to time him out with her super. Except then the actually timer ran out, and Alisa just awkwardly collapsed. It was hilarious. And then I learned to not ever try that again.
EDIT: Game showed it to be a double time out.
Pandora’s all like “NOOOO, there MUST be a winner. You cannot deny me this victory!!” Rofl, just messing. Like someone mentioned earlier, it’s gotta be win or nothing, trying to time out someone’s Pandora with no time left in the clock is a no no, haha.
I gotta add that I used gem 22, 24 and 245. That means 50% extra damage on that super and a 40% less cost on all specials that use meter. Couldn’t have pulled it of at all without that last gem unless I had more meter to begin with.
Gem 245 is also bugged… if you have a little less that 2 bars, about 1 3/4 super doesn’t come out. Posted this on the Capcom forums a long time ago, wonder if they fixed it for 2013.
Edit: Gem 24 gave 30% extra damage not 20%

I actually had mentioned playing someone using Pandora tech in the SFxT chat. I saw the EX Hooligan into EX Cannon Strike set up and thought - Wait, is this the Pandora tech from SRK? The points was worth learning from the mistake!
Unfortunately for me that setup doesn’t work on standing opponents. I’ve tried it once online, and apparently that was against you.

So if it wasn’t obvious, Juri and Pandora are best friends. If you are looking to beat out a move or just get a punish, her super moves forward enough to hit anything. And then her Anti-air sets it up perfectly - Tag out with your other character and she’ll be in perfect position.

Not sure how quoting works and too lazy/tired to find out. I’m stealing that yoshi stuff Offen, seeing as how i just finally started cementing him in my rotation. Also i just thought about it. There are gems that activate when your partner does stuff like tech throws or hit or x-cancel. Are those for pandora in mind so you can switch in and out like the yoshi kill? or do you guys have other uses for thoose gems cause i never understood why you would want a gem that activates that way unless you have x-cancel boost rush combos like steve.

For the gem question:
It is so you can get more activated gems on partner when you tag them in. As you can activate more gems from the same conditions for both chars at the same time. For example, I could have a throw tech gem on Law that increases Law damage when he tech a throw and at the same time have a gem on yoshi that also increase damage on yoshi when Law techs a throw. Meaning I get more damage on next tag combo of any sort. And if you on top of that have a gem for yoshi that activate when Law does a launcher yoshi will have even more gems active.
Or you could do it the other way around.
I suck at explaining, but hopefully I answered some of you questions.

Personally I think the launch gems are overlooked, especially with teams that can launch, then launch back for oki. That’ll be especially dangerous in v2013 with the roll nerf.
It’s too bad I don’t have the time to record two Pandora ideas I’ve figured out. I’ll write them down instead. Maybe some time next week I can record them and upload them to youtube. The interesting thing is you can start with one bar and still use a super art.
Combo 1.
(Start with 1 bar) Cammy’s EX SBF. After the wallbounce activate Pandora and switch to Nina. Then cr. mk xx lk geyser cannon. EX Skull splitter --> Super art. Slight pause after the skull splitter hits to allow the Pandora bar to fill up enough to get super. I got it to do 732 damage with 2 damage gems.
The second combo isn’t really new. It’s more of a way to deal with alternatives if the first two hits of the combo are blocked.
Combo 2.
It’s basically a variation on Cammy trial 20, but it can be done with less than 3 bars depending on where you activate.
J. HK; St. cl. HK jump cancel EX Cstr. St. HP xx Super Art. BUT! If the opponent blocks the first two attacks jump cancel and jump over your opponent to cross up with J. lk followed by cr. lk x cr. lp; cr. mp xx super art.
Edit: Combo 2 won’t work in ver. 2013 ;-( since Cammy’s standing close HK can’t be jump cancelled in ver. 2013 if it is blocked. So I have about 6 weeks to use this before it’s not possible anymore.
Getting people to use Pandora is like getting people to use TAC infinites in UMVC3. Yeah they’re powerful and hyped up and blah blah, but when there’s so many other ways to accomplish a round/match win…people aren’t going to flock to it all over the place.
