I have one suggestion if you don’t mind. Why not have an unofficial preregistration thread where people can just post their name, handle, which game they are entering, and where they are from, and then the thread creator can just update the list on the first page. (I believe this is how they did at Final Round…)
People can certainly preregister through paypal later on, but the point of making another thread for this is to estimate how many people will be at NWM.

I thought the reason they didnt do this is because otherwise you get a million people posting they will go, and then don’t show up. So if people put they money where their mouth is we get a more accurate count
Exactly. The tournament Annoucement Thread is full of “maybe I will show up” posts, which are nice, but aren’t even a bit reliable. But if you want to make that thread and manage Woki, it might encourage more people to actually pre-register, so I could help.
Is there anyway to send out invites on X-Box 360 and let Hyper Fighting, VF5, 3rd Strike, and CVS2 players know this is happening?

So… im down to document this. I just upgraded my camera, i could bring extra cameras to plug into and record matches as well. im really interested in shooting the gameplay, and just the general atmosphere and reactions of players and audience.

That would be great. Preppy will be there recording and one other person, but there will be so much going on that two people won’t even come close to getting it all. So if you could record matches and the tourney in general, that would be awesome.

Are the buttons rules going to be the same as Evo? Like is one-button-airdash legal for pad players?
I am not really an expert on those types of things, but I think we are going to follow Evo rules as much as possible, so here is a tenative “probably.” I leave that up to Deezo, XTG, Axel and anyone else running the tourney’s and brackets.

If you can map them in game, then yes, this is the Evo way. It is gross, but legal. I assume the tournament directors will do the same.
You can even map more than one button to air-dash, if you really want.
Replacing your punches with double-punch and your kicks with double-kick is like playing MvC2 on easy mode.
Umm… Since when does any game let you map directional inputs (several of them) to a button? You certainly can’t map “airdash” to a button in Guilty Gear? And… if you wanna play pad on Marvel you can map whatever you want. :wasted:

Remapping buttons fucked a lot of people at Evo because people don’t unmap them. If they do allow it (yuck) be sure to UNmap the buttons afterwards so you don’t accidentally break the next person.
