Pacific Northwest Majors: Please Check: Important - June 28th at UW

Raybladez,

The ST tourney money were all from the Zach gatherings. X to the G may have the final tally numbers. Apparently, a lot of the Tourney money, if not all, was donated to NWM. That is a respectable sum of money. Sure as hell more than the Marvel community, or any fighting game community thus far.

IMO, the main goal is to get as many people in the NW interested. Whether it is GGAC or Marvlez. We need to get NWM established. This shit is here and in for the long run. I got Brent’s back on the monetary situation. We need hype and legitimacy more than anything. Next year it may be even more expensive. The only reason we are getting a $600 price is because of Brent. It would have been twice as expensive were it not for him since he actually works at UW setting up these type of events. Next year we will have to look elsewhere like at a Holiday Inn a la Final Round style.

or VFW Hall in Woodinville

I was curious also at how much is in the ST fundraise pot.

Yo!

I talked to Bunkei! If anybody has a laptop and knows where to get the high speed connection close to the event or at the event, he is willing to due a show at the event. This would be big exposure for the event…

This would help the event alot.

I know someone arond here as a laptop.

Wow. Yeah, that’s definitely not anything I would’ve liked to know before I came up here from California already. Awesome.

Well, commissioning another stick is out of the question, because the odds are better than 90% that this tournament will be absolutely the only time it’ll ever actually get used. I don’t even have a DC any more, which is why my old stick is sitting in Sirlin’s cube – the only use I have for it whatsoever is at work, and Sirlin winds up using it far more often than I do. And I certainly don’t need two of them down there.

All right, I’ll see if there’s any other people there who still remember me who might let me borrow one for a few minutes at a time. As per the previous paragraph, I obviously have no use at all for stealing it, so nobody has to worry that they won’t get it back…

^-- That shouldn’t be a problem. I have one of these:

It is looking like we have a few more people who are being generous and are willing to loan sticks to people who need them. And most people are willing to let people use sticks for a few matches. You can use mine if I get it finished before Saturday.

You forgot this one too:

The room is littered with Ethernet ports all over the floor. Good luck trying NOT to get a connection. The whole building is also set up with wireless. You could use my login if needed.

well, all i need is someone to cough up a laptop and we shall be golden.

Thanks guys. Anybody who lends me real sticks (and not electronic maracas), I’ll be good to 'em, I swear.

Jetay, who’s the blonde chick on the left of your avatar?

Thats B. Jenet from Garou: Mark of the Wolves and also Lately in King of Fighters XI.

Also I can bring three sticks… but I don’t want to if I don’t have to. Cause two of them are a little damaged (works perfect but the cords are starting to fray) Anyways yeah I’ll bring them if needed.

I’ll have at least two sticks there, and one is definitely fine for borrowing.

They’re both PS2 though, as are (if I recall correctly) all of Ross’. If you need a DC stick I dunno what to tell ya.

I will be bringing 4 PS2->DC adapters

Glad to hear that your still up for that Fatbear. I am calling around right now to make sure everyone is still bringing what they offered.

We will have about 3 to 4 sticks that we, the tournament organizers, are going to manage and loan out when people need them. Beyond that people need to be responsible for themselves, or be extra friendly that day.

It will help out a lot if people can bring extra sticks to help those that don’t have them, but don’t bring more than you can manage yourself because we can’t really watch them for you.

I posted in the tourney thread with no result so I’ll post here instead.

Can somebody PM me or add me on MSN for directions to the university via public transit? Like how much will it cost, what busses to take etc. We’re coming from the Greyhound station in downtown Seattle (we need to get back there by 10:30pm as well the same day).

EDIT: Hey Paul thanks. BTW good job on remembering my name

I will also be bringing a PS2 and a copy of 3rd Strike.

General directions to Kane Hall:

This:

It would be really helpful if someone would post a picture of Kane Hall from the outside, so that people won’t/can’t miss the building.

Just a thought.
