I’ve been slowly trying to get my local scene to diversify a bit from just SF4 and MVC3 by always having mystery events at our local tournaments that feature overlooked gems like these.

For ps1; J, try the G Gundam era Battle Assault. The wing one is good too, dunno the number.

sfa2 ps1, but I suggest just emulating or getting hsfa for ps2.
Kof 99 is on it, but it’s a terrible port compared to the dc version.
There is this good weapons based fighter I played on it where a bo stick user could hover over opponents, he was super cheap. 3d visuals, can’t remember the name because it was so long ago, I was like 5 to 8 years old.
MK4 and UMk3 are good.
@ everyone else- Sfa1 is amazing for toying around with combos. It literally has sf4’s stupid links, but they are incredibly easy.
The game itself is eehhhhh compared to it’s sequels.
I think sfa2 gold is underrated. It needs more play, some of the features are really neat, and it has Cammy in an sfa2 system!
Surprised there is no mention of Eye Of The Typhoon. Was made by the same people that developed Fight Fever if I recall correctly.

One of my favourite fighting games to this day. Everyone is broken.
Fatal Fury Wild Ambition pretty decent actually I just wish the supers were easier.
Critical Blow, a JPN only game that never got the cred it deserved, pretty damn good.
BAT 3, kinda crappy but still fun in a way.
Kensei Sacred fist, awesome game.
I also want to get samurai spirits the 3d samsho game for PSX it looks interesting I don’t care what the haters say.
A new PC game with pseduo 3d modeler graphics, plays 2d though “king of the streets” get it from yoyo games. Plays like a mix of SF and MK, some really nice fatalities and moves, is also ghettoware friendly. Every naruto Ultimate game on PS2. i like it more than clash, which gets all the credit.
I love how there is community for TMNT tournament Fighters here.
I want to play Godzilla Destroy All Monsters melee, since heard that game was really good.

Psychic Force 2012 is godlike. As far as I know it still had tournies for it as recently as the early 2000’s in Japan. It had a cult following because it was very unique. Me and my friend love that game to pieces. Even tiered it ourselves.
