Overlooked, Obscure Fighting games

I still have this game. I didn’t think people played it as much as I thought saince out in the states, people think that naruto should just stay in his manga format and not branch out to other media. I like Neji in NA2

Deadly Arts.

It was like VF only 10x slower and alot less deep. Create-a-fighter was interesting, and it was fun to come up with new combos using a combination of the character’s moves. It had some nice character designs (minus Reiji) and the japanese version had them saying stuff. It could have been a better game if it had a better engine.

Dunno, I play that game with friends every now and then, the metagame of it turns out to be pretty fun. I played it when I was 15 and stumbled upon it 4 years later. Makes me feel young again.

Tattoo Assassins owns all your favorite fighting games!

Anybody played Fighting Bujutsu?

I played it for one day when it got released in the arcade with a beautiful large Japanese Cab and the following week it was gone forever!

It was VF with Supers!

For some reason, I read that as “VF with Strippers!”

Matrimelee is awesome.

yeah. I’m TIRed of sissy at the end of the game. TIRED.

Kizuna Encounter is the tits. Crosses fingers that it gets added to GGPO 2

Yea that game is pretty sick, “Matrimelee”. AKA “Power Instinct” somewhat . I wish they could release there newest version of the game in the US.

Heres Footy of the newest Power Instinct, has plenty of the same if not all characters from Matrimelee IIRC.

The game was hella cool i remember playing this when i was young not knowing wat the hell it was lol.

Naruto Shippuden Narutimate Accel 2 is awesome. One of the best entries in the Narutimate series. It just felt complete, compared to the more recent games.

The Bloody Roar series is actually pretty decent sans number 4. The best entry is definitely Primal Fury/Extreme. It felt different compared to other 3D fighters, felt more like a 2D fighter.

Martial Masters looked really good. Thanks for the post.

So much Tobal 2 love in here. It brings joy to my heart.

Anyway, here’s Dong Dong Never Die. If any game deserves a spot at Evo, it’s this.

a game where a char can cancel a move with the same move and other has an infiniote with his projectile deserves an spot on evo if you ask me

Exactly. Isn’t that what we call balance and everyone complains about these days?

It should take priority at Evo based on it’s name alone.

Dong Dong Never Die.

You ever play ‘Killing Blade’ on the PGM, theres a reason that game is so obscure.

then again, ‘Martial Masters’, which is also a PGM game needs way more recognition. Its in my top 5 favorite fighters.

Haha that dude’s victory pose owns.

I believe we still haven’t mentioned Tobal 2 enough.

That’s more like it.

I read part of tragic’s Tobal 2 guide. He makes the game look pretty deep. It’s just a damn shame that there seems be virtually no one to show this off in terms of combo or match videos.
