Overlooked, Obscure Fighting games

Super Strip Fighter IV. It can be played.

Arm Joe, a doujin fighter based off of Les Miserables. More based off the novel than the musical, it even included the obscure RoboJean Valjean.

^ the music is actually pretty sick in that game

last blade 2.
vampire series.
jojo’s

not obscure, but overlooked.

all sick as hell games with no one playing them.

All three of those games have dedicated followings; in fact there were more people playing Jojo’s than 3rd Strike in most of the Japanese arcades I went to.

bleach blade battlers 2nd. The mechanics in that game seem ok, it has a good rock, paper, scissor game at the least

and D.O.N battle stadium, im just curious to see what that game is like at a high level

The Avengers fighting game from the mid-90s. First game with assists.

Samurai Shodown Sen
Had the game awhile back and my xbox screwed it over. Gave it the Circle scratch on the disc >:(

Anyways, Japan matches were very cool in this to me. I loved playing it even though I was trash lol. Not good at 3D.

“TIME KILLERS” on arcade …cmon now …

You son of a bitch, I came here specifically to mention this or Psychic Force. I played this game once and it was too hardcore cuz my arms were cut off.

There was a Bleach fighting game for NDS that came out a few years back. Despite some questionable balance (lol Wesker-tier Kenpachi) I liked the game. It could have gotten big or at least looked at by the FGC if it wasn’t on a handheld system.

Dont quote me boy , cause I aint said shh…

sorry i meant in the US.

Doesn’t Vampire Savior have a GGPO scene, at least? I know there are way too many people who love that game to have it be “Daraku” levels of obscure/overlooked.

Yeah there is a ggpo scene for Savior. I may even say it is bigger then the xmvsf scene at this time.

Panza Kick Boxing

publisher Loriciels
category Sport
genre / theme fighting, kick boxing

Platform: Amiga, Amstrad GX4000, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, PC DOS (1990), NEC PC Engine / TurboGrafx-16 (1991)

Panza Kick Boxing is a very nice kick boxing game developed by French company Futura and is based on a name of the real world champion André Panza whom you will challenge at the end. The game features both multi player and single player mode with career game mode. You can train your boxer to improve physical stats - strength, resistance and reflex. A nice and unique feature is the presence of “programmable moves”. You can assign 13 moves per match from the staggering 55 moves available. All in all, it is a good fighting game which is much more than just hitting the attack buttons as fast as possible…

Fight Fever on Neo Geo. This game hurts bad.

Shadow War Of Succession. Such a racist game, look at the way Anvil (the black guy) jumps.

It must be obscure and overlooked if no one has mentioned Clay Fighters yet.

Clay Fighters was actually pretty popular back in the days. It was a featured Fighting Game during a national Blockbuster tournament. Trust me I know, I entered, and lost first round.
