at EVO, Ono didn’t refrain to announce a measly DLC or some rehash of an old game… his project is undeniably BIG since the higher ups at Capcom forced him to hold it for ComiCon where it would get more exposure
shit like a re-release of Alpha3 (god forbid, what a horrible game) would’ve worked best to be announced at Evo among the hardcore fg crowd. no casual gives a shit anymore about old games with SSF4, BBCS, and MVC3 around the corner.
I’m thinking Namco vs. Capcom is likely, but with one stipulation: it may not be Ono himself spear-heading it. Because in the end, if the Arcade UFO tweet is to be believed (talks about Namco and inevitable Arcade release), that could be taken to mean that it may be Katsuhiro Harada (Tekken producer) and Namco that are actually the main force behind “Namco vs. Capcom”, while Ono is occupied on other things (SSF4 DLC/Arcade and Darkstalkers).
After all, the last collaboration of this sort (Namco x Capcom) didn’t have much Capcom involvement at all. Monolithsoft was the developer of the game and Namco published it. Something similar could be at work here too, especially if Harada doesn’t have anything else on his plate. It is a bit too soon for Tekken 7, after all…

Your right dude. I guess it’s just I don’t understand why a person would come off the way they do. Your right though, from now I’m just ignoring all silliness. Yes I have found that kind of strange. I even have wonder; could it be an A3 remake or a new alpha. I mean really look at the Ryu in the clue, and tell me that does not look like E.Ryu from Alpha series.
Alpha avatars could just do more to hint at what the next round of content for the DLC/Arcade upgrade of SSF4 could have. Just like for the Felicia and Morrigan Avatars, we shouldn’t read too much more into it until we get something more concrete.
A3 is very likely to happen, but it may just be the playstation version like A2 and A1.

I honestly can’t imagine a new Alpha or any sprite based game unless they just work with existing sprites. Then again, so many impossible things have happened for us lately:

Marvel with online play
MvC3
TvC getting a real port
