Ono's Riddle

All we have on this Namco-vs-Cap game is three rumors that don’t even add up.
Vyo, This game couldn’t have been in progress for that long because SSF4 production just ended a couple months ago, and Ono crammed all of his last few years working solely on that.
Further more, the most recent rumor can’t be true, because that would require Namco to take time away from Tekken 7 which is already in full swing.
Namco versus Cap isn’t happening. When the rumors of the game don’t add up, its not happening.

or maybe it’s because they are rumors that don’t exactly agree perfectly with each other because of the simple fact they are fucking rumors.

Based on Cyber’s last post, tho, DS is something he’d love to work on, but isn’t in development as we speak. So, it doesn’t seem like it’ll be that.

When that’s the ONLY reason you have to believe a game exist, then you can doubt the game’s validity.

Namco’s shitty ass version will never hit states.

That actually wouldn’t shock me, it makes sense.

Also it appears that while it’s known that a new Tekken project is active now, it hasn’t been said if that is Tekken 7 or not. That’s why some people were, at first, holding on to hopes of a Tekken Tag 2. A Namco vs. game could easily be the Tekken teams current project.

when you hear that something is going to happen from separate unrelated sources that is a reason to expect something not to doubt it. by all means you can doubt it all you want, but don’t act like it’s less likely to happen now that MORE people are saying it’s going to happen.

it’s dumb to deny the game so adamantly, because if it’s true you’re gonna end up looking stupid. It’s also dumb to get hype over it at this point, because then you’ll be dissapointed.

ladies and gentlemen. sit back, and enjoy the the clock as it ticks to the announcement.

whoever is getting hype over this should be put away. I don’t know where but they just need to stop existing and fast.

whatever it is, we can all agree it is going to suck before we see it in motion, play it, or even know what it is

:coffee:

yes thank you

If more people said that one game was going to happen, then you’d have something, but so far we’ve gotten 3 seperate rumors on 3 seperate games, 1 of which has already been proven wrong, and 1 that is logistically improbable. So while Ono was making SSF4 and SSF4 arcade edition, and while Namco is busy making Tekken 7, SOMEWHERE in here they made Capcom versus Namco and Namco versus Capcom, and they had the game approved just last weekend. Not only that, but the game apprentally uses the stylistic trademarks of the SSF4 game. This game also was set to appear at E3, but didn’t make the cut. the game is either Tekken or Namco, no source is clear. Even more, this game is set to release simultaneous against Marvel Versus Capcom 3 and have the VS seres compete against itself as they sell 2 different versions of the same game, making there 3 VS games on the market in one year.

Where do these rumors start making sense? This seems more like a bad rumor that has perpetuated and been falsely spread.

No, I’m not going to look stupid because there’s no logical reason to think its going to happen. If Jesus came down, its not going to make Atheist look stupid, because logically they were right.

^
so, scratching one game aside, you’re saying Ono isn’t teasing a fighting game period? Because that would fit right into your " putting games against eachother in sales " theory.

stop trying to rationalize fucking rumors. holy shit. not all of them are completely clear. you are reading into shit like it is the word of LAW. also companies can work on more than one or two projects at the same time, crazy shit I know.

want to know how you do look stupid? by trying to act like the fucking devil’s advocate over rumors for a game that gets announced in 4 days. you’d do a lot more to just make one statement so if you’re right, you can just say “lol told u so” like everyone else.

also atheists don’t need jesus to come down to look stupid.

lol i was going to post that exactly

It’s okay dude, I don’t want to believe it either.

i hope the rumours are false. I cant see 1 of these games being good… let alone two.

Pretty sure whatever it is will be good. I’d buy both games sight unseen pretty much

They’re just mad that they possibly won’t get OnoStalkers, Ono Saviour: Lord of Scrub or Ono Hunter: Scrub’s Revenge.

Get it over it guys.

When you consider that MvC2, SvC: MOTM and CvS1 + Pro were all released within a few months between each other between the years of 1999-2000? It really seems like Capcom and SNK had little problem with having so many games on the market during that time. This would just be more of the same, only with Namco this time.

Furthermore, while Harada has confirmed T7, he’s also, back in May, only did more to confirm that the project is in its infancy, and likely won’t be coming out for a long time yet. At this point, it’s probably reasonable to presume that this was because there was already another project that, for right now, takes precedence over T7, which can likely afford to wait just as long as SF5 can.
