Ono's Riddle

tekken 6 came out a few years ago ur ignorant or somethin?

I think he was referring to Tekken 7.

Yes, I was referring to 7.

Its Darkstalkers. Ono has yet to deny it when directly asked, he’s referred to the new project as his “life’s work”, the hair in the Eventhubs photo is Demetri, not Jin’s. The hair is brown not black.
The picture with Ryu is a trailer for a new version of SSF4 that will be available via DLC, purchase for the PC, and in arcades. They aren’t going to use the signature paint smear on any series other than SF4. We already have it confirmed that the Street Fighter announcement on the “future of SSF4” and Ono’s new game are unrelated.

its… namco vs capcom

There is no reason to think so other than a rumor.

Namco vs. Capcom- made by each company.

Capcom’s version will play like SSFIV and Namco’s version will play like Tekken.

The announcement can’t come fast enough.

there are several sources citing the same rumor, and capcom sucks at keeping secrets. it’s namco vs capcom.

so far it seems like the only thing that can save this game is tekken bowling.

so it’ll be like snk vs capcom games only without the whole fun aspect of it

Please note however that these sources are all inconsistent. The original rumor stated that we would see the project at E3. We never heard a peep, much less saw any kind of game or trailer.
The other source was an arcade who changed the name to Namco Versus Capcom.
The next rumor changes it up even further, mixing the two rumors, making it appear to be more Tekken Versus Street Fighter in game design, and even going so far as to rumor two games being made.

The last rumor is completely stupid when you consider the laughable idea that this would take priority over Tekken 7, which is already confirmed to be in production.

Article stating the Namco vs Capcom and vice versa games. Rumor: Namco vs Capcom, Capcom vs Namco In Development

thats just kotaku citing GI

so adamant… so fierce!!!

So it will be a shitty game and a somewhat shitty game.

HIYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I look forward to this, reminds me of what they did almost a decade ago with SNK each company made their rendition of the fighter.

I enjoyed both renditions, this one will be interesting…

your still controlling space. in 2d, your able to jump over fireballs, which allows you to dodge and advance simultaneously. in 3d, i’m assuming that you won’t be able to jump over fireballs, and that you won’t be able to side-step and advance simultaneously.

people need to stop thinking that ryu in namco vs capcom will play like ryu in sf4. they’re obviously going to rework the characters. does tvc ryu play like sf4 ryu? or even sf3 ryu compared to sf4 ryu.

Tekken 5’s boss Jinpachi had Fireballs, and he was kinda annoying to fight.

Normally I’d just sidestep them, but sometimes he’d stun me and shoot one in my face. Or he’d use one in a combo. I’d imagine it work the same for Ryu and the gang. They’d just need to give them set up tools for their fireballs, as they obviously wouldn’t be zoning tools in the Namco based game.

No, he didn’t quite say it like that.

What can be more gleaned here is that he REALLY wants to work on a new Vampire game, which would indeed his “lifework”. That’s a no brainer, we know that much already about the guy. But he’s never referred to his current project as such.

I want a new Darkstalkers game too, believe me. But this game coming this Saturday doesn’t look like it. At best, the most we can hope is that whatever he got approved by Inafune a few weeks ago is another project on the backburner that just started its pre-production cycle (Darkstalkers), while he’s actually been working on this Namco-Capcom project for quite longer. But that’s about all we got at this rate.

just wanna get my juggle on

Where is my CVS3 and VF vs Tekken? That, is the real mystery.
