As for the Alpha series, I give 0 fucks. None of the 3 games are that much alike other than having multiple supers at once and the same art style. All three games have enough flaws to be undesirable to some if not most. Alpha 4 would likely be no different in that regard. Being a Neo-Capcom game wouldn’t change the outlook on it at all. It would get the same scrutiny and the same love/hate relationship as the previous Alpha games.

Well like the Alpha series, tell that to people who enjoy games like EX+@ when it comes to fun. But they all have their own flaws like the Alpha series. It’s why I don’t care if Capcom goes for it or not. The Alpha series doesn’t really have a legacy to tarnish.

A2 was some dumb shit, too, but more boring. You had four very good characters, stupid customs that can do 25% damage off one level of meter, and alpha counters that did decent damage and killed. At least A3 was way more fun and toned down the fireball damage.

Just “having flaws” doesn’t really equivocate the EX and the Alpha series. The Alpha series is fondly remembered and had an active tournament scene. If it doesn’t have a legacy to tarnish, I don’t know what SF iteration does. Sounds like you just didn’t like the Alpha games.

Sim is seriously that good in A3.

The thing about A3 is, that unless you really play it, it’s a hard game to understand. The game gets a bad rap from a lot of the videos that have been posted with crouch cancels, and while yes the infs are dumb, the game at its core is really really good. Outside of CvS2 it’s probably the most purposefully technical capcom fighting game to be released.

You didn’t even need the crossup, if opponent wasn’t in low block animation at the screen freeze for CC…death.
